Well its been a while since I picked up my camera, probably longer since I have seen something worth shooting. Had some nice skies tonight, sorry some are duplicated - same cloud, different age/development: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Edited by Seedubs 10/10/2008 20:14

We've had some
great blue sky these past two days. This is one of many shots I got on Thursday - the weather seemed better than it ever was back in the summer........

Just a few of the many dozens of pictures I took this afternoon - featuring lenticulars, contrails,
iridescence, sundogs and the moon : )

The warm front finally broke at sunset this evening and by 19.45 a long duration display of mammatus pouches formed over my area. At first they were small in size, grew larger, then ended up covering much of the sky as they moved in
from the west at moderate speed. The low Sun illuminated the first set an intense orange colour then as the Sun dropped they developed a purple hue. At dusk they ...

Judging by the webcams, the snow levels have dropped below 1000 feet in Juneau. The leaves are hardly off the trees in many of these areas. But the biggest story is the potentially historic storm
winding up ...

Thought i would post this as it seems it difficult to get the right usb connector for this
weather station. Newlink USB to serial adaptor. Just under a tenner off e-bay. It worked for me with Vista but use the disc drivers supplied as the internet searched driver does not work. LINK HERE

Plenty of convection here. To be fair to GFS it wasn't too far off with this one. Looks like a goer to me. A LARGE AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER IS LOCATED ROUGHLY MIDWAY BETWEEN THE WEST COAST OF AFRICAN AND THE
LESSER ANTILLES. THIS SYSTEM IS SHOWING SOME SIGNS OF ORGANIZATION...AND FURTHER SLOW DEVELOPMENT IS POSSIBLE OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS IT MOVES SLOWLY WEST-...
