I feel like Kramer on "Seinfeld." "I might have a new invention, Jerry!" Could an electric breast pump deviate from its usual function and suck urine from the bladder, like an external intermittent catheter?

I received an e-mail response from Dr. Stephen Davies today. Unfortunately, his father passed away in June from cancer. I know Stephen was doing all he could to help his father. I was very sorry to hear this. Stephen did invite me to visit his lab this fall with one of the CC moderators, WCRABTEX (Bill), who happens to be a friend of mine. Bill is a surgeon with SCI, and he agreed ...

New wound nurse says sores aren't as bad as first though, so I can sit a few hours a day. Anyway, I need something to do hair washing in bed. We used to have a plastic basin with a tube, but that was many years ago, before I got a shower, and that's gone. Where can I get another one?

Hello, I'm completely new here, but I'll try to figure out how this forum works. I am asking a question for my husband, who is not a computer person, so I do all the online research that's needed. He began self-catheterizing five months ago, due to a neurogenic bladder that developed from many years of urinary retention that went undiagnosed. We are currently working our way through the ...

Noah's Ark Replica Schagen Netherlands Replica of Noah's Ark built by a Dutch contractor. It was built approximately to scale, however is 1/2 the length and 1/3 the width of the Biblical dimensions. It was built to show the world how massive the Ark was and how so many animals could have been housed for a long time. There have been several comments on the improbability of getting 2 of ...

After finally accepting the fact that it is easier for me to brush my teeth in the kitchen than the bathroom and moving my electric toothbrush into the kitchen counter I started wondering how other quads handled oral hygiene. When I got the Sonicare toothbrush that did wonders for my teeth. I recently got one of the sanitizer units for the toothbrush head. The one thing about oral care that ...

Has anybody else had any experience where the brand name of Ditropan works much better than the generic?(oxybutin). I spoke with one major rehab and all of their patients leaked on the generic or felt the urge to go more. I was told generics have to have the same amount of active ingrediants but their delivery systems can be different. SW

Okay, so I mentioned several weeks ago about my BIL who was paralyzed T12 coming to live at my house and things I wasn't sure about. Its been 6 weeks now and I'm just wondering if he should be doing household things on his own (or atleast attempting to) Last week I was doing his laundry and I thought "his hands work just fine so I'm not going to fold these but I will wash them and dry them and ...

My sores turned out to be worse than we thought, so I'm going to be down for a while, where I can't do anything. I'm scared, but I'll be okay. Question about InvareTurn-Q mattress - prices vary so much. Are they all the same?
