Exactly PL30. And cfl, you said it yourself. Holliday is option A, Bay is option 1A. You can't negotiate effectively with two players who are the top members of the FA class at the same time. Neither will/should have to deal with the same team trying to play them off of eachother. I dont know if I would say that just yet. It depends on how much the Yankees value Melky Cabrera and/or Brett Gardener. Because Nick Johnson aint playing the OF. Damon could still be re-signed to play LF with one of those 2 above as the 4th OF, and the other hitting the road. That really wouldnt surprise me that much.

Yeah, it does surprise me that none of the teams in the NL Central seem interested in signing him. There's a few on there I'm not sure about. I wouldn't have C. Beltran in the top 10. Delgato is at 38th should be higher, and Carlos Lee at 98th should be much higher.??????????

Pirates need more than Iwamura. Can't say I truly understand it. I would think the Pirates would want to get younger, not older. Trading a rookie with a big upside for a 30 year old second baseman, leaves me scratching my head. I think it helps Tampa a ton more than it helps Pittsburgh.

I think he will. He had to grow up hearing a lot about Cardinal baseball being from Stillwater, Oklahoma. I live down south in Ardmore, Oklahoma and that's basically all I heard growing up, but my grandfather is from the St. Louis area as well though.

How did ownership not have a clue what type of deal Holliday might be looking for? All they have to do is come here and read these boards for a reality check when they made the deal. Hard to believe they were that niave.

Each of the nominees is deserving except the kid (Spillars?) from Clemson should have been invited as well.
My vote is for Suh as he IS both Nebraska's defense AND offense. No other player is as dominating as this athlete. Nio one since LeRoy Selmon has been able to control a game as this man does. He probably won't win but should.

Pujols-Holliday combo gives us the best 3-4 hitters in the league, I love the idea of giving holliday 8 years. Only thing that scares me is if we can't get something done with Pujols, thats when I really start to my pants, but say we do...thats frightening. We haven't even seen what holliday can do in a full season for us yet. I'm excited to hopefully get this done. _________________
