The transmission industry is on its deathbed. They are moving toward a day where if your trans goes you throw the car away.People with older classic cars in the the near future will have to pay outrageous prices for trans repairs. The same way rebuilt carburators went after electronic fuel injection. And wait till Chrysler starts using the Fiat dual clutch trans.Start shorting the stock of extended warranty companies now. In the mid 70's...

440 is pretty right... 99% of the time if the front seal is leaking the bushing is bad. may not look it, but it will be lose and walking out and closeing off the drainback hole. or so worn the drainback hole can't do its job. repeated bushing failure is usualy a bad converter (hubs not true) or a damaged flexplate/crank pilot.

If that is the case then why do I get code 0750 solenoid A. I can turn the ignition on without starting the car and erase all codes codes. Then start the car. Code 0750 will appear in about 20 seconds. The car was never shifted out of park. Solenoid A is suppose to be on in Park, Nutral, When manually shifted to first, and, fourth.

Hello there, My Jeep has been doing the same thing for the past year. After replacing the Electric Body Module three times(because this is what the dealership told me); still the same thing. My jeep has been in and out of the shop every two weeks for the past year trying to figure out this problem. Does your instrumental panel gauges stop working when the door locks and windows do not work? I believe that the problem with my jeep lies within...

Questions about selling my car
Published (2009-11-25 05:57:00)
I hope this is the right forum. Let me know if I should post these questions elsewhere. I am selling my car privately. I have a couple of questions I can't seem to find answers for using google search for "tips on selling cars." When should I allow someone to test drive my car? I know I should check to make sure the potential buyer has a license and I'll insist riding along in the car. But my...

That trans is a 500 type trans, there is not to much electronics on this one , still mostly hydrolic, try the adjustment on the int-band.

If the low/reverse sprag was not holding the vehicle wouldnt move in D1{in manual low the band would hold the low/reverse drum} If the sprag was jammed and wouldnt freewheel the trans would bind up as soon as it shifted into 2nd. I dont think lockup would kill the engine on a forced 3-2 downshift the way he described it.But diagnosing over the internet is difficult....

first.. i would change the fuel filter... i might also try to verify the fuel flow with the filter off... see if the pump is putting out enough.. this is slightly dangerous.. as you are working with a plastic bottle.. while somebody cranks the motor to keep the fuel pump running free for 10 seconds.. you should get over a pint of fuel... use at least a 2 liter bottle.. or a gallon plastic gas ...

there are none.... you have to pull the valve cover and lock the ends of the cams with a cam tool kit.. there are also no key ways in the cam sprockets or on the ends of the cams.. only a slot in the rear... i have changed the timing belts without loosing the cam timing.. by carefully using a pair of fender washers and a 2 inch long bolt with a wing nut... First of all the dealer told you it was the computer? And im sure they billed you diagnostic time and then after they installed a computer they said it was the harness? And you paid them? How do they get away with that crap? An independant shop would never get away with that! Anybody can play hit or miss. I would expect more from the dealer. I dont think PO750 and 755 are electrical failure ...
