Hey guys (and girls)! I've decided to sell a few of the accessories I have for my hv20. These prices include shipping! Cinetactics Matteblox DV - $85 Cinetactics Screen Hoodie 30 - $20 Rode videomic w/shockmount - $90 Everything here is in excellent condition. Each item is less than a year old. The mic comes in it's original box with literature. The cinetactics items come with their ...

Hello, Could anyone recommend some good-for-the-price fluid head tripods? I don't usually use a tripod, but recently it's begun to dawn on me that it might be a good idea to pick one up. I'm not terribly wealthy (read: a poor filmmaker), so around $100 would be a great price point. I couldn't find a relevant topic on the forums, so I decided to make one of my own, but if there is ...

I have read that people with a mobo with nvidia chipsets have severe problems with LG internal blu ray burner. Can anyone comment? If it is the case can anyone comment on the chance of the LG external USB blu ray burner working with the same chipset.

Searched the forum but did not find a good answer. How can I convert .m2t file to .avi / mpg file in as little steps as possible and using only free software? I use my HV20 in " out of box" settings (HDV mode I think), and use the free HDVSplit to dump the video to WinXP as .m2t files. I want to email (or use MSN messenger) some clips to friends, so I want to convert the file to .avi /.mpg...

Hiyall! I got my second test done! This time a bit more ambitious, a Porsche driving in frame and some post motionblur. The shot was shot at 1/500th shutterspeed, I used a clever trick to add it in post later to the background plate and the model at the same time so you get 1/50th shutterspeed. 1080p version: http://www.c4real.eu/daan/porsche_ma...1080p_h264. mov...

Searched the forum to find nothing has been discussed about Vincent Laforet's video using new Canon EOS 5d Mark II. Here is the link, http://www.usa.canon.com/dlc/control...articleID=2 086 Again, is it too early to declare demise of videographers as we know it? Do take a look. If a dSLR can do better job than XH-A1, where do we stand. Don't get me wrong, I love my HV20, and I am...

I've researched for the high quality accessories at the best price to complete my HV20 rig. I just want to share my knowledge about the "camera rig". First of all, I've just bought my accessories to be able to use HV20's "25p HD mode" in an efficient way. I won't say much, because you all know the benefits of the High-Definition technology... Here is my HV20/30 rig list: 1. HV20/...

Hi: When rendering from HV30 to Bluray in Vegas Pro 8.0c, from the default template of: Bluray 1440 x 1080 60i 25 Mbps there is a slider on the "Video" tab which says " Video Quality", with a setting of 0 to 31. The default is in the middle. I notice if I leave the slider untouched it appears as if VP8 only renders the P and B frames when converting to BR, leaving the I frames alone...

like a toothache. share your favorite video or print links here, make 'em short and funny links , not just links to ebaumsworld or crap like that. make 'em things that YOU found on your own, by doing original searches, not what all the guys in the office tell you they think is funny. The Annoying Bluetooth Guy (by this find, I just 'met' Larry David, who I see is not only a ...

I didn't want to add to another DOF adapter thread here but have a serious question to raise. I love shallow DOF as much as the next. It can be very beautiful especially when needed and when experimenting. But what about the great days of filmmaking when Cinematographers would fight to get f8, the days when only big hot lights could provide enough light to stop down and get everything in ...
