Flower Images, How to make them better What gear for photographing flowers? Best advice I can give you that works for me is to try to isolate a few flowers, get down to their level & get in close. Try some at a wider aperture to isolate it from the background. When you find an arrangement that you like, then adjust the lighting to make it stand out.

Dude, this is soooooo close to be being an amazing shot. You throw another light up on that sub box camera right and you're money. As it is, its quite nice and you could bring up the exposure a bit on your subject still which would help.

^^ I like the processing on that one Jeff. Maybe it was just the light, but I love photos with the stark, slightly desaturated look to them.
In other news, I just purchased a 1DsII !!! It's coming from the States but I got a great price and is in really good shape. Should be here in a couple weeks.

Oh, it's those ones I knew of the 2.4ghz Yongnuo ones but I never found out the name of them. Yongnuo make decent stuff IMO! I'm still happy with my two YN460 flashes.

I just bought a boat load of Alien Bees stuff. Check my sig to see all the money I blew... Stuff just arrived and no formal shooting yet. did some test shots just to make sure it all works. The giant umbrella softbox was damaged so when I called today they were super quick to take care of me and are sending out a new one with a call tag for the broken one. I'm pretty stoked on my experience ...

Good one Adrian, I was wondering wether a thread for this should be started or not. I'm so excited about this trip and my ONLY hope is that the weather is good
Will have the sigmonster ready and looking forward to using it. I'll only take 2 lenses myself. Its quite a bit of trekking so I want to keep the gear as light as I can.... yes i know the sigma weighs a tonne lol

We like to see the pictures from 7D, There are numerous threads with lot of talks, no pictures or pictures buried down the thread.
This thread is for real world 7D pictures and technical details of the shot only . Thats it.
Thanks in advance for the lucky few having the newest toy in hand.
