Yet more anti-mastectomy bias. Folks, unless your cancer was found in a pretty advanced stage, this is the choice everyone has -- mastectomy or lumpectomy or partial mastectomy with a long course of radiation. You also need to know that you may have extended chemo (mine took five months), Herceptin (one year) and/or hormone therapy, currently recommended for five years. I had all of that except the radiation because I chose a mastectomy. My...

It's sad to me that there is no mercy anymore. There was a time many moons ago that you could pay your debts with bartering. There's nothing to barter here except money. The sad part is that even if her insurance was still good, it would pick each claim apart and pick and choose which things to pay and she, in the long run, will still end up owing a LARGE portion of that bill. We pay high premiums, for those of us lucky enough to...

This is an unfortunate development. I think this would benefit, not only Ohio resident's, but, surrounding state's residents as well. I'm sorry, for us, the patients.

The only dog I have ever had with incontinence issues is the 9-yr-old male I have now. Most of my dogs have been female, all spayed. Never a problem. I will go with what has worked for me in the past. I adopt dogs from shelters & they all have policies regarding s/n. dog lover- I agree with you. Just by mixing 2 breeds together & calling it a "designer" breed does not make it so. And check out all the puggles...

Swine flu was nothing to really worry about in the first place. It was just a NATURAL mutation of flu, which was going to happen sooner or later in some form. Was never anything to declare a 'world health emergency' over.

I am writing to you from Serbia-Belgrade; I would like to introduce our clinic NOVA VITA. Our clinic is registered both for conventional medicine and alternative therapy methods-with the weight on oncology. Our clinic's performances represent a complementary approach with the treatment of numerous diseases. The application of unspecific simulators in the treatment represents a connection between long lasting experience of the team, the...

I was at the AKC show last year to see my breeder show her top Golden when she pointed out the Resvantage Canine people to me. She recommended that I use the supplement for the dog I got from her as she has been using it for her dogs and is convinced her dogs are performing better and somewhat insulated from early cancer. I took her advice and it's been almost a year now and I would have to agree with her. I have had the best performance...

Better fight against cancer - Topix

Judged: 1 1 1 that was a great set of questions and answers. It covered so many facets of cancer and treatment. I am very impressed. One thing it did not cover is the monitoring of cancer. As a radiologist using non ionizing radiation methods is a key point I want to make. Many of the cancers we see today have been caused by the radiation we used 10 years ago. The rate of some cancers is growing at the same rate of growth of the xray...

Hawaii suffered a great loss with Chris Pablo's passing. He is the pioneer of what leukemia is, and how it can be cured through bone marrow donation and transplant. Not only did Chris find his match from a double amputee no less, 85 other people became bone marrow donors too; giving dozens of people and their loved ones a second chance at life. Chris Pablo's story remains to this day the greatest...

Hormones from ovaries are linked to strong bones, ligaments and tendons. If you spay, you will also have incontinence issues (just like humans, I might add). There are studies out there which show spayed/neutered dogs have More occurrance of cruciate ligament issues, incontinence, other types of (bone)cancers, etc. How about tying tubes, just like they do with humans. This compelling story is the reason we need nationally mandated health care, especially in Arkansas. Do you see how many people are walking around with half their teeth gone? They don't choose to not see a dentist, they simply can't afford it. Don't send emails telling me how expensive it is, medical care today can bankrupt anyone, including you. Our nation cannot afford NOT to have health care ...

Oh Boo - anybody who has had cancer treatments already KNOWS that radiation CAUSES cancer, which is why cancer rates have tripled in the thirty years these 'cures' have been in effect, and put seven million taxpayers on welfare. These treatments may have an effect on the original cancer, but then we have 18 other kinds to look forward to - it's called Secondary Cancer - caused by the cure. ...
