Tv Encryption

I have heard that Virgin are changing the encryption in January will I need to get my V+ Box changed if they do or will it just update itself on its own?

QUOTE (Keeop @ Nov 23 2009, 09:03 PM) My service has gone back to how it has been for the last three years. So much for it improving in September - they must have seen improved performance and 'fixed' it. I'm fed up with this crap and fed up with speaking to VM to get this sorted. Biggest pile of shite company I have ever had the displeasure in dealing with. Back to CISAS then for some more action. As soon as...

Virgin 50mb Broadband
Published (2009-11-25 08:57:00)
QUOTE (TheGrimPengu @ Nov 24 2009, 06:47 PM) Very unlikely as it requires a completely different modem to work, so cost alone will rule that one out. But for only a £1 increase that is not a bad deal. You will still have to pay for installation and activation which costs £55. But could I get my VIP package to include it by asking ande paying the difference?

QUOTE (whiteclaw @ Nov 11 2009, 11:31 PM) And it only gets worse. 98% packet loss and a grade F at times. I think I really do need to move provider now. Which router do you have? Have you tried a direct connection without the router?

I am on standalone 20mb for which I am playing £37.44 so I was a bit annoyed to discover I could have this a bit cheaper or 50 mb as a new customer However, i am looking at changing my sky and phone to virgin (I swore last time never again but there you go) for a new customer I can see 50mb, xltv +v+HD, xl phone + talkmobile + phone line for 66 per month. There is a £75 set up for v+ and £20 activation for 50mb some of which is returned....

Just to confirm - A new replacement arrived today as promissed and is working perfectly - what a fab service - perhaps this should go in the 'Give Em Credit' section

No router at all, this was a direct link. All people get told is there is a well known fault. Great, now try to fix it please, 3 years of 'well known fault' is a little bit peeving off.

Actually £47 is only £10 more than XL Broadband when you have it on it's own. Basically same difference between L (4Mb) and XL (20Mb) which is a £12 difference If you have other services you can get it for less

QUOTE (Shreedhan @ Oct 10 2009, 08:55 PM) Hey, Speedtest recently introduced Pingtest to test the line quality your ISP provides you with. I play a lot of Halo 3 online so it's more important to me in a way. I was just wondering if people could do both and post the results stating what Virgin package you are on. (I got an A for pingtest this time but the last few ...

QUOTE (AdeBarbs @ Mar 9 2009, 08:32 PM) I have VIP and dont make full use of it, and in this current economic climate save a few pennies. I want to downgrade by removing Movies and Sports. I have noticed on the VM website they offer 3 for £40 with V+ for 6 months then up to £47 Would this be available to me as an existing customer? Thanks Adrian I'm also very interested in ...
