QUOTE(MkB @ 8 November 2009 - 23:50) Wow, I want a Super Aviator for my birthday! After that Cat Cap Con offer, I thought about taking your name off the list, but I didn't. It will be on your doorstep, just make sure you don't trip over it.

The man does not exist. Well IMDB have a Finley Light with one credit from 1978. No biographical details, so can't say if he's Australian, but if you average out the ages of the 6 actors when...

You are free to disagree. I think it's there. Especially in the case with Kerim Bey and Mathis. QUOTE Following that line negates him and diminishes his own standing. On the contrary. It makes him stronger, better, more fierce. This post has been edited by Chester Copperpot : 4 November 2009 - 14:14

Which is surely the precise reason why it should be held there, no? Munich obviously don't have a problem with it, and neither do the IOC.

QUOTE (Trident @ 7 November 2009 - 10:56) He looks particularly Dalton/LTK-like in that shot above. But apart from that I really feel he's an entirely different character that would have given Bond a whole new dynamic. He's much less 'serious' much more 'playful'. Isaacs would have given the series a different impulse at that time, one that would have opened other directions....

I like the way Roger delivers the line in Octopussy when about to beat Kamal Khan at his own game in the casino. "Then why don't you take over the Major's position? Mr...?" "Bond......James Bond. Thank you, I'd be delighted..."

I wouldn't be surprised if a Finlay Light exists. Less surprised than I would be by Bigfoot anyway.

I'm terribly sorry for missing this one before - excellent topic I just love these news you've been posting. Can't say I have much to contribute at the moment, I try to give up on news (impossible, obviously) since I was becoming rather pessimistic towards society. Have cut back on the news, but still feel pessimistic. Hm... maybe it's not just from watching the news. But do keep us...

I honestly can't remember Rampling looking that good. Eva always had a very beautiful body. I like the front cover pic better.

Not bad. You might want to try getting the white circle clearer so you don't have that smudge looking thing there. What program did you use to do this? I have Movie Maker and can't figure out how to make the gunbarrel move with me. Thus, I only have a version of the Casino Royale gunbarrel with me in it. Tell me what you think of mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fe_m5MWlnU...

If they pursue this movie, I just hope it's done well and with some semblance of original thought. The premise sounds a little overly familiar and I'd hate to see Craig filling out his non-Bond time with mediocre suspense thrillers (Invasion?). Whether his other movies make mad cash is of less concern to me. He's a fantastic actor, and I just hope to continue to see him in quality stories ...

QUOTE(The Ghost Who Walks @ 23 September 2009 - 19:15) ...but I always wanted to see Jason Isaacs as Bond. He'd have been a great choice to replace Dalton in 1994... So you wanted to see an actor who looked exactly like Timothy Dalton replace Timothy Dalton as 007? I can't tell you the number of times I've had to do a double-take when seeing Jason Isaacs and wondering if that ...

QUOTE(danslittlefinger @ 3 November 2009 - 22:03) it was chosen for a reason and that reason is controversy. Film makers do corner themselves with remarking on such things of that time, it's bound to date things but isn't that the beauty of such works? If you look at it, we are talking about it now so it succeeded in it's reason. Excuse me, but that is bollocks. Pure chicken...

QUOTE(Zorin Industries @ 3 November 2009 - 15:33) QUOTE(The Shark @ 3 November 2009 - 05:26) Not everything does of course, however this case DEMANDED a better closing scene for Greene. Even if it was a mere shot of him drinking the can of oil and collapsing, with an ascending crane shot finishing the deal. But the case with Quantum (and even GREENE) is not closed yet. ...

Here's an article that reinforces the notion of templates: http://commanderbond.net/5430/the-james-bo...vinci -code.html However, I would like to add another template, the action/comedy, as seen in " Diamonds are Forever" and "Live and Let Die". To my eyes, the Roger Moore era didn't start with LALD, but with DAF, both films are made in the same vein. Are there more films to add to the ...

I highly recommend: OHMSS, FRWL, TLD, GF and CR. And for the rest I'd say: DN, TB, TMWTGG, TSWLM, LTK, GE and QOS. I might include one of these as well: YOLT, DAF, MR, FYEO, OP or TWINE. When he/she likes all/most of those: CR'67, LALD, NSNA and AVTAK. I never recommend: TND and DAD. When I introduced my girlfriend to Bond with OHMSS and TLD, she understood my passion for Bond. She said ...

I don't think it's fair to ask any one mortal man to bridge the universe- swallowing gap that exists between DAD and CR. (Sorry CK. Apologies for sidestepping your story, which I did read and appreciate.)

One of my favorites is from Licence to Kill. When Bond takes the speargun and kills one of Krest's henchmen. "Compliments of Sharkey!"
