Recently bought John Barry's THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN and Marvin Hamlisch' THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, both soundtracks are great, but there is a lot of material missing, right? Why do they update both works in 2003 without adding more tracks like they did for THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS or FOR YOUR EYES ONLY? Anybody know what tracks are missing from these albums? Thanks.

QUOTE Thunderball scene, and the GoldenEye scene. Both are effortlessly cool and relaxed scenes. They take their time, not in a rush. Yes, very good point, they are relaxed and don't rush. I like any Bond scenes with interesting set design or scenery to take their time.

QUOTE (NVT @ 8 October 2009 - 15:04) PS Does anyone know what is happening with Thomas Crown affair 2, as he looks to be getting a bid old these days? My guess is that with MGM's woes these days, it might be a while (if ever) that this actually gets off the ground.

I think it kind of sounds like a revenge theme, if they were to make another movie that followed the story of Quantum of solace and Casino Royale. It would be like Bond finally finds the guy in charge and beats his butt badly lol

I'm terribly sorry for missing this one before - excellent topic I just love these news you've been posting. Can't say I have much to contribute at the moment, I try to give up on news (impossible, obviously) since I was becoming rather pessimistic towards society. Have cut back on the news, but still feel pessimistic. Hm... maybe it's not just from watching the news. But do keep us...

Interesting. Thanks for posting. I didn't always agree with Pauline Kael but I often found her reviews fascinating to read. It's interesting that Miss Kael was one of the few critics in 1969 who gave a positive review to On Her Majesty’s Secret Service which I believed she called "marvellous fun". I think You Only Live Twice was her favorite Connery film if I remember correctly....

I think he is M in those films. Why? Because when I had to choose my favorite M on my dossier, Robert Brown's name was listed. Also, Robert Brown's wikipedia page mentions there is the M/Hargreaves dispute, but ultimately labels his character as M in the filmography section. Therefore, it is a close race, but M wins by a nose!

I'd like to see Bond in Scotland, Argentina (I know he's already been there), Canada (especially Quebec), Myanmar, Egypt, and Israel. Has Bond ever been in Los Angeles? I can't recall.
