Where does this wire go???
Published (2009-12-04 14:17:00)
Green wire with red spade female push pin is reverse buzzer wire probably. As for not running, that should not affect it. Check all battery cables, and examine F/R switch for loose wires, loose studs, or evidence of heat. Does cart charge? John

The CDI is not the coil. There are no fuses in those wires and there are no fuses that would cause the problem that you are having.

I don't believe this forum should be used as an intermediary ground for issues arising elsewhere. Guys, please don't bring this stuff here. BU might be quiet, but that doesn't mean we need a sales argument that didn't even take place here. LOCKED.

Batteries vs Charger
Published (2009-11-30 16:24:00)
Well based on the chart it seems like your batteries are only charging to about 80% of their "new" capacity. So you could get new batteries and theoretically gain about 25% more runtime... Your cart should be able to go about 20 miles or so with good batteries on flat ground. Even at 80% it seems like you should be able to make it through 18 holes and drive home no problem. Are you going up steep hills with a 400lb friend or...

How to Wire 3-12volt batteries...
Published (2009-12-02 23:22:00)
Given that a new set of 6v batteries will give you at least 20 miles on pavement, 12v batteries should give you around 10 miles. At 18 mph, that's about 1/2 hour of peddle time. Slower driving, heavy loads or inclines will decrease your time.

In a series system the higher amp the controller the more torque. My suggestion on motor is to get the slowest motor you will want. Usually the slower the motor RPM the higher torque it is. What is minimum top speed you want? Do a search on here for a post I titled Hunting Buggy Pics. I showed pictures of how I placed all 8 batteries under the seat. Easiest is to place the batteries in ...

I say we just keep the daytime drama stuff all all sites and keep these sites to what they were meant to be. Sites where individuals can go and get info about golf cars. Why do we all have to hate? We all have the same common interest, lets just keep it on that level and not stoop to childish antics.

You need to really make sure that the resistors and the cable that goes to the resistors is tight and clean. A poor connection at the resistor will cause arching at the speed control board.

Charge your cart normally and after it shuts off wait several hours and check the pack voltage. There is a chart I don't have that gives the state of charge voltages for various packs. Hopefully someone will post that chart. See if your pack voltage matches the 100% charge voltage. Then drive the cart until it doesn't want to go and test each battery voltage. You may find one battery weak or if ...

More than likely you have a battery issue, so I would start with testing those first. Charger light staying on...you could have a stuck relay.

I've always tried to keep it lite, but there are some rules, and there are those that want to post things that don't confirm to the rules posted by the business thatoperates this forum. So it seems that this site is a bit up tight, but the reality is, its not. Its is just that there is some conformity here because this still is a business. Joke, laugh, screw around, not a big deal, have fun, ...
