It's a huge saving, and I've had to turn down almost all the work that's been offered because they've wanted someone for a 6am start or to work in the afternoons, yesterday they said 9 to 5:30 and when I said I can only do from 9 to 2 she said they can do that, so that was lucky but many places just can't work around the 9 to 2 shift so money is really, really tight right now, I have no idea how to get through...

I found out after being friends with someone on a political forum for a couple of years (I mean good enough friends for he and his wife and son to think about coming to Australia to meet us), connecting on Facebook, chatting weekly etc, that he is a world-famous snowboarder. That was pretty cool!

See I could get it if it was for attention but she hates getting even water on her and cries over that. One time I had to get her topee in a bush because there were no toilets around and she was so distressed at getting pee on her shoes. She's really funny with being clean and so I'm sure her wetting her pants would send her into a meltdown. She is also pretty vocal about needing to go to the toilet and will keep going i need to go...

Are you using some sort of cover?? I find that wool shorties are the best for my heavy wetting boys. No leaks. If you can find a 2nd hand keester Kover night nappy they are great.
Otherwise if you have a pocket nappy - like a BG - I use these when I have all my night nappies in the wash. I stuff them with one microfibre then a bamboo trifold then another microfibre and then put a wool ...

I dont know about recently, but I have never heard a good thing about that hospital. My sister moved away from Caloundra because she didn't wan to have her baby there. My mother had a baby there about 10 years ago (ages, I know) and aparently the experince was traumatic for her.
Maybe you should call in for a visit and get a midwife to show you around?

hey aylaah,
I live waay out east (near the Dandenongs) but have lived in the inner south before.
Just how inner do you want?
There's St kilda which is about 10-15 mins outside the city is on the beach and in melbourne is known as a lifestyle rather than a postcode. Its beautiful but probably not so great for bringing up kids although I may be wrong.
Then theres Sandringham/cheltenham which ...

Else, maybe she is unhappy being there, or scared to go for some reason or another (I dont have a high opinion of childcare centres at all!! my twins ...

and what have you got your child/children so far?
Do you think there is an ammount that is too much per child to spend at Christmas? I have pretty much finished my Christmas shopping, and I just added up how much I had spent I know I have got a lot for Briella but I love to shop for her and she is our only child and the family's only grandchild so we do spoil her a lot. So far I have got her a...

I agree breastfeeding has it's positive benefits. But it isn't always possible for all women to feed their babies. DS and I were unsuccessful but have thrived since.
It is already really hard to get help and support for bottle feeding. Thank god for Bub Hub!!! It will only get worse in the hospitals and clinics if the governmental policy is pro breastfeeding. Do we really want mums to feel ...
