Does anybody recall a thirty minute drama about Agatha Christie broadcast sometime during the mid-seventies to early eighties on ITV. It's was a two handed play with Agatha Christie lying on her death bed where she is visited by Hercule Poirot coming from the 'afterlife' wanting to know the reasons why she hated him so much that she went out of her way to kill him off. Curtain was of ...

the very beautiful Judi Bowker was in several other productions, and I was lucky enough to see her on stage in a play in about Helen Keller in the early 1990s. Her beauty remains. Ms Bowker is most well-known as the lead in UK TV drama the Adventures of Black Beauty, but was also in a hippy film before that, Brother Sun, Sister Moon. She appeared in a sword and sandals flick not ...

...And Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice Very well done. All the familiar cliches were there, it had the same production values as the shows it parodied, over the top sentimentality - in fact, it was quite hard to tell from the real thing! Take a bow, Peter Kay

I was just thinking of three novels The Stars Look Down, The Citadel and A Kind Of Loving, where they were made in films and tv shows. IMO Humble opinion in all three cases the tv shows were better, which is controversial in the sense that The Citadel with Robert Donat and A King Of Loving were huge international sucesses and the latter made a star out of Alan Bates, whereas, ...

Hugh Grant as Chopin? Strangely it worked in Impromptu (1991). No floppy hair, no scuffing feet. Could Hugh have been a real actor if he hadn't been sucked into RomCom hell? Judy Davis is fab, Julian Sands is a beautiful plank of wood and Mandy Patinkin, Emma Thompson and Bernadette Peters are as reliable as ever. Could have used Ralph Brown a bit more though.

Due to an earlier discussion elsewhere, I thought it might be a good idea to start a cookery/recipe thread. Most of us have a signature dish that we can cook with our eyes shut so would you like to share your recipe with the rest of the forum? Or maybe youve got a cookery problem or question that somebody else on here can solve or answer for you? Don't worry if it's just a ...
