Samsung Omnia II Will Definitely...
Published (2009-11-23 12:39:00)
Verizon has made it official: the long-awaited Samsung Omnia II is going to be released early in December. It was first announced way back in June, and Verizon quickly committed to offering it. Five months later,it's finally going to hit the market. And it has been somewhat transformed in those months, getting both a change in its looks and an upgraded operating system, to the latest version of Microsoft's Windows...

Okay, I'm dense, but not that dense. As I mentioned in another post, when I activate the 'pane' that shows blocked addresses, there seems to be more than just 'brighthand.com' addresses. I would rather manually pick and choose than just disable ABP on BH; but will if that's the only real choice. Thanks.

As far as I know, they'll all drop frames, which is not desirable. You probably need to re-encode your videos to a lower bitrate to play well on your device. A couple of threads that might help: Settings: Palm TX & PocketDivX Encoder or HandBrake and Palm thread

Media Monkey: New version (3.2)...
Published (2009-11-22 20:36:00)
FYI. Released November 19th Quote: Ventis Media is proud to announce a major new release of MediaMonkey. The new version syncs with some of the most popular smartphones, including the iPhone 3GS, Palm Pre, and Android phones, as well as with all of the latest iPods including the iPod Nano 5G, and iPod Touch 3G. This should prove especially useful to Palm Pre and Android phone owners who are unable to sync their devices with the latest versions...

Why did you hard reset? If for a faulty app, whatever was causing problems is still in the latest backup set and the latest hotsync files. Normally, to restore from a hotsync you'd set the System/Backup conduit in the Palm Hotsync Manager to Desktop Overwrites Handheld but I don't think that will help you. Do you have the option to change the BackupBuddy conduit to Do Nothing? Do I understand that you have BUB set to run after every...

Snoozing Alarms - Page 2
Published (2009-11-23 22:17:00)
Well, well, well... I've been off carousing around xda-developers and guess what I found: It seems that the TP2, to my (and others') surprise, DID eliminate the snooze options. That little "tweak" (who's source being HTC or M$ seems to be debatable) has been quite the subject of discussion / dissatisfaction. Naturally, being the home of cooked ROMs, tweaks, and such, there are a variety of options to correct...

This is illegal in the US. It may be legal from where you are, but last I knew, BH is in Atlanta, which is in the US. Why not keep this to XDA were illegal is its middle name. In short, and as obvious as it is, you are stealing property that does not belong to you. This is nothing about interoperability. So, go back to XDA, huh.
And BH, I'm surprised at you. This is no better than some...

Bad BIOS and no doomsday CDs. After those two "glitches", would you recommend Acer netbooks? I mean the question, cause I may soon be out for one. I won't be the user, I want it for my dad, so I will be looking for a model that is reasonably fast, hopefully WinXP, best if free of "glitches".

$599 is at least $100 less than originally thought (without contract). I'm seriously thinking of getting one of these and holding off on the smartphone.
Do you know when it will actually be introduced? Aren't they also going to be available at ATT stores?

I don't think you're crazy, Jig, I think you are just trying to preserve a combination that works seamlessly, not a usual situation in ANY platform, least in Palm OS. Also a seamless working combination that works for you . OK, you're a bit crazy , but in a very good way.

Are you saying Garmin has dropped map (for sale) update for older units? I do not know the iQue, but assume it is something like the nuvi units... I have a nuvi something that came with my Suzuki SX4 automobile. I'm just learning to use one, so I a my...

Welcome to Brighthand, wing219!
I'm not familiar with the program you mention. Please provide more info so we can help you correct the problem. Can you provide a link to its website? What device are you trying to hotsync to? Did you check that the program is compatible with such device? Are any errors reported during hotsync? What operating system is your computer using?

I think so, the apps are linked to your apple ID. They can transfer across iPod Touches and iPhones, so presumably you could download them before actually getting a device.
Aside from the highly publicized issues (Shazam, Google Voice) very few things change that dramatically, but if you want to lock in free versions you can do it.
