Verizon Wireless' TV ad campaign attacking the Apple iPhone continues. The latest commercial evokes a holiday classic, with the iPhone appearing on the Island of Misfit Toys. Verizon has been running a series of ads comparing its phones and wireless service to AT&T's. Many of these have centered around Verizon's larger mobile broadband service area, and the latest, " Misfit Toys ",...

Verizon's ads have been very anti-everybody else. Previously, they simply highlighted the benefits of their network, but more and more they seem to be pitting themselves against the other carriers. Verizon recently highlighted their Blackberry phones, pitting them against every other network. While that made some sense from Verizon's perspective (especially since they really didn't have any decent smartphone selection at the...

Palm V Madness

I would disagree with btaryag. The boss has the pda, wants to use it and not buy another one. The V is more than adequate for a basic calendar and contacts pda. I have no idea what the deal is with the USB dongle. What are you using it for? Why not just plug in the cable as is? If it's never been synched, etc.; why not just follow the instructions in the manual?

So far, I didn’t want to write a full article on listening to the music clips (SID files) of the legendary Commodore 64 home computer (dedicated Wiki page HERE ). Now that the latest, just-released (brand new) version of the dedicated player, Sid Player Pro has greatly (!!!) reduced the power consumption and become pretty much usable on previous-generation iDevices (iPhone 2G/3G and iPod Touch G1/G2) as well, I find it necessary to,...

Good piece; thought though that you'd hit on the actual nugget that's killing engineers, getting all those frequencies supported on the same chip(s) without interfeering with each other, while offering suitable levels of QoS, and not making the device price hit some range where carriers wouldn't subsidize it
Or that nasty nugget where One Voice/LTE is essentially VoIP throwing the idea of ...

To be honest, there isn't one link or howto. However, with a little patience you can find what you need.
Here are some threads to start with:
Zlauncher for Dummies
Zlauncher Tips and Tricks
MyKbd for Dummies
Fontsmoother for Dummies
As you point out, there are other options as well, but this will get you started.

What program did you use to create / view the pdb file on your zire 31?
In the Palm world, pdb isn't a file type. It's a container, which thousands of proprietary apps can write to. You need to know what program wrote it.

Well that figures, I've been watching Expansys for Months, waiting for them to announce they're shipping and now I have to wait 6 more Months! I would have already purchased the TG01 but Orange wouldn't sell me one since I live in the states. Much as it sucks, Ill probably wait for the HD2.
Thanks (sort of) for the heads up ;>)

This is illegal in the US. It may be legal from where you are, but last I knew, BH is in Atlanta, which is in the US. Why not keep this to XDA were illegal is its middle name. In short, and as obvious as it is, you are stealing property that does not belong to you. This is nothing about interoperability. So, go back to XDA, huh.
And BH, I'm surprised at you. This is no better than some...

Hello
I know, do a search! But very short on time. Maybe someone has an estimate of the chances of me getting into trouble.
I've got a T-Mobile (UK) branded HTC Tytn II, unlocked (SIM-free) and out of warranty. The upgrade from Win Mob 6 to 6.1 sounds like it's worth 30 mins to do and 30 mins reinstalling a few apps, and I'd get the bonus of losing all the T-Mobile branding.

Ouch. $200 out of pocket, $100 after rebate is not very good for a phone
without...especially since for $50 more you get wifi, more storage and a
bigger screen from the Pre. If it were a flat $100 and the resellers could
bring it down to almost $0 with incentives that would be a better deal. But
IMHO it's way too close in price to the Pre, and it's going to be creamed
against every phone rocking ...

The purpose of screen protectors is to protect against damage caused by repetitive (and sometimes vigorous) stylus action. Anyone who has a Bejeweled habit can attest to this.
Perhaps it is time to change your screen protector.

Interesting results. It would be interesting to find out if older phones (i.e. the phones the participants had early in the study) would have increased the risk over newer phones.
Maybe someday we will see a phone that is "cancer free".
