What's the use in trying to come up with the words that can put the shot AND the knife into perspective. Nothing really good can come of anything unless you have the right material(s) to work with at the start. Kyle's parents obviously did - look at Kyle. Kyle certainly did, look at what he created. And Coop did, look at what he shot. From start to finish, all the right materials.

I never set out to tell anyone how it works but for what ever reason it does, Spyderco found this out long before us. There is a natural occurring abrasive that is in leather, it is brought out when the leather is compressed and that is why quality strop leather is pre-compressed. There's more too it than just compression but that's one of the big parts. Diamond stones on ceramic is not burnishing its cutting, The only reason the...

Yes, Lychee is what they are called here. Thanks, getting rusty on my fruit trees. The asian's buy alot of nursery stock here in USA. They are the best market for landscape fruit trees. Chinese new year is all about the kumquat tree loaded with orange fruit. Some other round eye said how strange it was that the chinese bought kumquat trees in late January. I then asked him, "How strange is it that you buy a dead pine/fir tree and...

Had the Vantage Pro and gave it away. It had blade play issues and the liner would go all the way over to the other side. I sent it back to Buck, but it came back the same way.
Therefore, my vote goes to the Spyderco Endura 4, this has been an excellent work horse knife for me. The difference between VG-10 and S30V has not been signficant in my view. They both need to be sharpened ...

2 XM-18s that's what $1880, what a SCORE! You must be RICH!
Anyways congrats, I'm up to 3 as well, 3.5" flipper and non, and a 3" flipper. Just need the non 3" and my collection will be complete (well except for the Fatty and XM-24s).

You are going to need a good diamond sharpener and a strop.

I think that perhaps the best example, almost the only example, of when I find a refurbish to be acceptable (from other than the original maker) is when Jay Hendrickson is asked to bring a Moran back to life. And by that, I mean nothing more than a clean up, not a repair. I can think of a couple more examples, but I think this is a good one to start the discussion, IMHO.
There was just a ...

My wife was horrified!
You can see how uneasy she is. I am still not sure that Carlie and her were not pulling a fast one.
I settled back into my chair and surveyed my area. Look at all that sand, it is so sandy, it gets everywhere, even in the crack of your....... folding chair.
I look behind me, oh great, a trailer park! Will it end?
So, my wife asks me for a ...
