my inline 6 has a timing chain, but i'm sure it would still be a pain in the ass... i don't think my car is worth it...i would probably sell it and buy another one.

Published (2009-11-17 23:33:00)
go with the 540....... mines done 205K with no great problems, and it eats up long journeys like Al Ain to Taif (2000 km in 14 hrs driving)...... .....as for common problems|: radiators blow because of the plastic header .... cam cover seals leak, idle control valves fail, some say that the oil pump bolts can work loose.... but the engines themselves are pretty solid.

Did the KBB on the car and it says its worth $5,445 in excellent condition, naturally I would see if he would mind taking the car to a BMW specialist to check the car out in full and that way you cn ask them any questions you might have about the car. I love these models myself. Good Luck.

Is there no label on the fuel door? The 325i 2.5 is supposed to run on regular; when they don't run right, it's due to glowing carbon deposits causing pre-ignition.

I'm assuming it's a replacement rod for the one inside the transmission that goes into the slave. My question is how do you get the old rod out? (it's not sticking out of the hole, it's ...
