I'm particularly taken with the theme of religious zealots who are able to dictate to the government how their tax dollars are spent whereas I'm not allowed to withhold my tax dollars should they be spent on killing Afghans, Iraqis or Palestinians. So where, exactly, is the separation of church and state in the US? I don't see one.

I'm glad for Keri and Woody. I'm also really glad for A-Rod. A finer, more up-standing, hard-working, clutch player I've never seen. A rock? My vile remarks for the Yankees know no seasonal boundaries! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif )

Will West Ham Stay Up?
Published (2009-11-08 13:52:00)
Well, if Mo' can appear in the politics forum then I will, with great trepidation, poke my nose in here and cast a completely uninformed vote for the Hammers staying up. Me Mum and Dad were lifelong supporters, so there! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif )

Billy's most poignant line
Published (2009-11-05 13:52:00)
QUOTE(MoralApe @ May 30 2005, 07:19 PM) "Our Titanic love affair sails on the morning tide" That one always strikes a chord with me. That idea of being unsinkable, it just reminds me of so many relationships. "lala la la la means 'I love you' " Love this as well because I think those words are overused nowadays, and that line sort of making them a challenge again is great. Not...

Barack Obama

Now, hold on there. I totally respect Dennis Kucinich's no vote, it's a shitty bill that will enrich the insurance companies. And Bart Stupak (from my own beautiful state of Michigan) added a bit of women hatin' 14th century horseshit by denying abortion coverage, his yes vote on those conditions should cancel out Dennis's no vote. It's a terrible bill, filled with pork and favoritism. But it's a start and we...

QUOTE(moster @ Jul 3 2007, 02:19 PM) fucking right they will because it's a bastard stitch up. We're talking about a player who won a decent amount of points for West Ham almost single handedly, being signed illegally. Therefore, West Ham cheated. Without the player the club would certainly have been relegated before Easter. The first independent panel were given all the evidence ...
