Bids included CC/CH, Dupont Circle, and White House zones. $50 received a counteroffer of $14 more; $55 was rejected last night, so I know this was the lowest price. I'm pleased with this location, and I like staying in Courtyards.

We didn't like it. It doesn't feel like a DT hotel at all, the area around it is dead & closed up at night. A cold place. Sooky to even use public transportation from there into DT, it's deserted. The restaurant was not very good & way over priced for the quality, & you"re kind of stuck out there with not much else open within walking distance.

Hi Kuroyama, Thanks for posting your win. You got a VERY good price. I don't think that I have ever seen the Hilton won at this low of price. Good Job! Hope you enjoy your stay in Ft. Collins, be sure to go to the "old town" area, I believe that the hotel provides a shuttle or taxi are available as well, but nice shops & restaurants, fun atmosphere! Hope you remembered to use the AB link to reach PL, that helps...

And it wasn't that good of a deal. It's currently coming up at $49.50 on Expedia, Hotels.com, and Orbitz. You might have actually paid more after service fees.

I will second that emotion. Our clean room had a comfortable king bed, mini fridge, and a small balcony over the parking lot with table and two chairs. Local calls are $0.75 but no charge for 1-800 numbers. The bathroom towel rod must have been loose because Housekeeping broke it during our stay. I reported it but Maintenance never showed up, so I reassembled as best I could. Traffic noise was solved by closing the curtain. Overall we were...

Hotel Oceana 3* for one night December 1. Best rate on website is $152. Stayed there before and it's not the nicest place, but it is across from the beach and that makes it enjoyable.

I am bidding on the same exact dates and at the same star level. I started at 160 & went up to 215 w/o luck. How much of step down is 3 1/2 stars? Where
would you start bidding there?

Are you sure you're not confusing this place with a different hotel? It is in the Downtown Portland zone, it's
always been rated 4*, and it's one of the best reviewed hotels in Portland (currently #1 on Tripadvisor).

This is a good deal. However, Priceline almost always can beat Hotwire. Did you try Priceline bidding? This thread is actually for Priceline bids. If you
scroll down on the main page, you'll find the area to post Hotwire wins--if you have some info that's valuable to Priceline bidders OR if you have
found a deal on Hotwire that Priceline can't beat. But thanks for letting us know!!

Thank you for using the links at Amazing-Bargains.com. I like my first bid to be rejected too. If you decide to add a "live" zone to your bid (i.e.
one where the bid could be accepted), I recommend that you start a new bid for that zone. This allows you to reuse zones from your previous bid (including any
free rebid zones). In this case, by starting a new bid for the Convention Center zone, you ...

If you use the Bidding Assistance Form at this link http://biddingfortravel.yuku.com/topic/2561 and
provide responses to each of the questions as a reply to this thread, you might have better luck with help. The most important thing to keep in mind is there
availability and for what price for the dates you want. Secondly, do you have a back-up plan? (Note, this board's administrator who in ...
