Hello. Just to inform anyone who might be interested that I have just acquired a one-family owned 500SLC AMG, chassis number 10702612001249, an all-matching numbers car with just 62,000 miles on her. She has escaped the Mercedes rally cars. com register. She is in superb condition, I "found" her locally to me in the Tampa Bay Florida area. Bronze/Brown int. She came with the German ...

I checked some wheel guide stickys for R129s but I never found a definitive answer to 18X8 ET 35 all around. My expert opinion is it should fit. I just want confirmation. Also, I am wondering if anyone is interested some 100% authentic classic pre- merger AMG Aero III pc from 1994. They are in great condition and impossible to find. I believe they are 17X8.5 all around. I'm not positive ...

I'm painting my car (83 500SECD Euro) now, Iridium Silver, DB775. It's a current MB color. It is absolututely gorgeous! Of course, I stripped down everything, as mentioned by you and others. I even gave the instrument panel needles a touch up (a technique I got from the forum). I also painted the grill, inside the headlight covers, the engine compartment (including hood), and trunk. To ...

Hello all, I'm just about to start a new project after picking up a parts car that is in quite good condition. The car is a 1981 280E with a manual gearbox. My plan is to turn it into a race/trackday car, to enter into Practical Performance Car's 2010 £999 Challenge. So i have quite a tight budget to build/tune this car. (I bought the car for £50, so i have £949 to spend) 1 thing i ...

Hi Guys,... My head is spinning with questions after reading this thread.... 1) Question #1,... If I have a Euro, does it by default have the euro spec parts? Is it the high compression engine? The vehicle is the 1983 Euro 280 SL. Sorry if this is a silly question. Bill

So my girlfriend's mother bought this car years ago and to keep the cows etc from kicking it, she stowed it in a barn several years ago. It ran when parked and I can get it for cheap ~$500. Gray market car. Needs exhaust manifold gasket if I remember correctly. Definitely needs some TLC, and only rust is what you see on the front of the hood. Worth it or not? I know the SLCs aren't exactly top ...
