2007 C280 smoke at cold startup

No, its is not steam, just a white-ish looking smoke with a rather wierd faint smell like rubber or plastic. Thought it might be a sticky belt or something but since it is coming from the tailpipe I am puzzled. /Dan

300E Cold start issue

I've got a serious cold start issue. When the weather is warm 70F+ at night, this is not an issue, but once the temp at night drops below 70, then this starts to happen and it's worse as the temp drops lower. When I get the in the car in the morning or after it's sat for a good while (like at work for 8 or 9 hours and the sun goes down), it takes forever to start the car, it just turns over and turns over and turns over, then it...

Hi, I have a 1986 420sel. I've taken old compressor off and have a new one to put on. The instructions with the new compressor say that the Air conditioning system should be flushed. Obviously the gas recharge will require service dept involvement. I was wondering if I could save some money by R&R the compressor. Just wondering if the compressor needs to be left out of the system when the system is to be flushed....? And is there...

Interiors lining disbond

My 98 C230 tan interiors cloth lining that cover the inside of the strut(metal frame) that is between the rear glass and the side windiw is disbonding on both sides. This is due to heat most likely. I see an air bubble starting at the inside corner. Can anybody recommend glue/adhesive;procedure to re-glue this interior cloth before it become any larger. The head liner is good becuse it is not covered with cloth. USA Thanks

FYI ... probably the window alignment had run-out.... if that was the case .... check and adjust back the movement alignment ... or You may spray some lubricants like Silicone Spray at the Window Run Rubber then , re-synchronize / re-setting the window system basically .. the window movement need pre-setting for the AUTO stage .... the power ...

Rear spring compressor Anyone know where I can get or borrow the correct rear suspension spring compressor to fit the rear springs on my 1983 240d? I've got the clam type and the claw type but can't see any room to fit either type. SilverArrows
