As others have said, you didn't lose anything. If you had fully shaved, then yes that would be unfortunate. Two comments: 1. You can always try again by letting the cheeks fill in. Trust me, most people won't even notice you're doing it...the goatee to beard transition is a pretty minor change for most observers. 2. At 32 days you were still a good 3 to 4 weeks away from the "lay down" phase, which would have...

Hi Papasin, Your beard is looking quite good already. Having more density through the front than the cheeks is a very common growth pattern, myself included. If you give it the 2 months you mentioned (or more), you will find the cheeks will fill in a lot and the slow growers will catch up too. Good luck and welcome to the board.

If you've had the chin area for three years, I would imagine that the rest of your beard will grow out in the same manner. I don't think you're setting yourself up for disappointment at all. I just think your upper cheek area isn't as dense as the rest of your beard, but that doesn't mean that that area won't fill in. I think it will. Stay the course is my advice and welcome to the world of the bearded!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Published (2009-11-26 09:23:13)
Happy Thanksgiving from America's 49th tundra state! Well, on the eve of thanksgiving, tonight, it snowed like crazy. However, I am thankful that the snow didn't fall until after the first week of November this year. It usually starts snowing sometime in October. I am very thankful for the lengthy autumn/fall that we had. And I can't help but agree with you guys in being thankful for this board and it's members...Oh and you...

How old are you? Because beards develop sometimes into your 30's and beyond...
If your in your 20's maybe you should let nature take its course. Not trying to tell you what to do but I know it thins blood and I would assume that would
impact your athletic performance...plus the stuff is dangerous!

thank you for your answer, i'm growing my beard for about 10 days now so i'll try to put on a couple of pics in a few days time... i'll probably
shave off my "moustache" and cheeks so perhaps i'll try to see if my sideburns had filled out a bit in the last year

You want it denser!? On the photos it looks very dense, even without regard
to your age... :-)

You have enough growth to give the goatee a shot! Give it 2-3 months and I'll be you'll be happy with the result.

Ah... you don't need the @%+!! anyway. (Sorry if that sounds harsh, that just seems like a stupid reason to not be with you anymore.) Yeah, women
definitely don't like the big bushy beard. I gotta trim my goatee to about an inch or a bit less to keep my girlfriend happy >.>

Ok, we're gonna have to take back your "Beard Legend" card
But seriously, no worries man. You decided on your own terms and I suspect you'll be bearded for life at some point in the very near future.
Looking forward to the next update (in a few months)!

So, since I shaved the beard picture above ^, I have been letting the stubble grow to 7 or 10 days, and then I trim it with a beard trimmer down to the skin,
so it'd be in equivalent length to not shaving for one or one and half days. I do this every week or two, and have been, up until a couple weeks ago - July
6th - when I got enough inspiration from the board to start growing my beard again! I...
