Must be the flashbacks from the 2009 season. I should be coherent by ST, then again....

Jones and Fontenot.

"Didn't we have already Fontenot in our system and use him as trade bait for Sammy So$a???" Yeah, at the time I think Jerry Hairston (Thank God they didn't want B-Rob instead) was the main target of the Cubs. Fontenot was a young prospect at the time that we shouldn't have let go. Crouthers was a throw in. Sorry, I just assumed everyone knew that Fontenot was originally one of ours.

I'd go for "talent," if that talent includes durability. If the Orioles can get through a season with four of the five starting pitchers they start it with, they'd probably have a pretty good year.

I'm pretty sure that Detroit's first win against the Skins was blackouted because the game was not sold out. Sad.

The O's need to stay the course they've been on since AM took over. Keep loading up the farm system and grow the talent.

You are additional proof Yankee fans are Yankee fans and not baseball fans. Thank God there are none in my family! Pathetic!

I would love for Joey Votto to be on this team. I wonder if MacPhail is interested. I wonder if this would work: Brandon Erbe Brandon Snyder Felix Pie

I just noticed that Star Man made a thread about the same topic. My mistake. Maybe someone will respond to this one.

"Talent?" Bit out-of-the-box, but it could work.

"What would it take to get this guy (Lowe) i am not sure. " With that contract, they may have to give him away. I'm guessing Lowe has some sort of a NTC in his contract. He made it pretty clear when he was a FA he didn't wnat to play for a rebuilding team. Unless he's had a change of heart, I'd guess that leaves us out.

NO. Penny pinching should be behind us now. With most of you saying that we need a stop gap until Bell arrives, which should be within the next two years if he doesn't crash and burn. Stop gap players are out there with a helluva lot more pop than that.

He definitely would be a help here but I'd seriously doubt that MacPitcher would put up the money & years to grab him away from the big boys, aka Yankees, Dodgers, Angels, Boston.

Personally, I'd rather have Pie in LF and Reimold at DH than Reimold in LF and Gammel at DH. Aren't you a bit concerned with his decline at AAA (that in the PCL) last year and his not so impressive performance in the majors? Granted the AA numbers do look pretty good.

There goes the Pie deal to Milwaukee. Maybe just as well.

If this is true, Congrats to Jones but still no love for his partner in crime Markakis.

Yeah, I was looking at that list earlier this morning and noticed that he doesn't predict us as being very active unless you call signing Carlos Deldado some sorta big deal. Good grief I hope he's wrong.

I think this announcement helps the marijuana legalization movement. Showing that well respected people like Michael Phelps and Tim Lincecum are using marijuana just helps the cause. I for one support marijuana legalization and I'm a member of MPP and NORML.

He's not a viable defender at ss and doesn't hit anywhere near well enough to play 3rd base. He's a utility guy.
