Don't particularly know many of those rackets, but at a glace I reckon you probaby can't go wrong with Yonex AT600 though for that price I can get two great rackets but the situation your in, I would say this would be your best bet. Also a brand your Dad is more than likely to have heard of, and they are certainly the "leading" brand in badminton at them moment whether we like it or not. Get ordering! You want to...

i feel SO victimised - Moose Hunting Season indeed!!!! as to the watching animals do funny things, I think it is less to do with being Welsh and more to having had a very isolated childhood - i used to talk to the smelly motherly house dog and dress the mad pair of cats up. we also had quite a chatty tree but that just makes sound odd.... Lol! yep; m'girlfriend is lovely and all is going well! she is a physio too so that means i get free...

I think what your basically asking for is a construction expert and not really a badminton player! However I dont see it being much of a challenge to get the court up and running. Two posts, a net, and a floor mat should get you started!

...also, don't underestimate the difference that strings can make. Might be worth trying to wheedle a free (or at least discounted) restring out of the supplier, especially if you're buying 2 racquets at the same time. In my experience the factory supplied strings are usually relatively loose this might give a poor impression of the racquet when actually it's the string tension that's the problem - you don't want him...

Personally I've always found that during racket clashes, Yonex rackets tend to lose the most! Other brands seem to make more durable rackets than Yonex, but that is only my opinion.
Does he use feather shuittles or nylons (plastic)?

Was this called CourtSide or was it called Internation Badminton? Someone at our club brought an October edition of International Badminton and said it got sent to her, but I was sure that this wasn't the new BE magazine, it had the same format as the old BE magazine though.

Seems to me he did pretty well. As a player in the 1970s and 1980s his results were very impressive. At the moment, as a veteran, the world champion at his particular age group. As a coach Scotland won the first ever team medal at the Commonwealth Games or any other International competition. Anne Smillie, chief executive of Badminton Scotland, said: "The World Badminton Championships are not actually being supported by Badminton Scotland as they are not in our tournament programme."
Why do they still travel to the IBF meetings round the world (expenses paid) when they dont even send players to the World championships!
