I had a pretty pathetic incident about 1 1/2 yr ago when my dad was in the hospital, he wasn't producing enough blood and they wanted to do a blood transfusion, he didn't want it he was a baptized witness, the whole time he was in the hospital he could not speak to us (he did pass away though ) but he made it very clear of his wishes ...
