Drill Press Selection Help
Published (2009-11-07 13:38:00)
The distance fro the center of the chuck to the column edge is important. That is related to the measurement they always give, i.e. 12" drill press. The 12" is the swing and its twice the disance from the center of the chuck tot he eldge of the column. This 2X factor may seem weird but the swing number 12" is the size of an circle or short side of a rectanglular object you can drill to the center of. E.g you can...

How To Do Paver Borders?
Published (2009-11-06 12:27:00)
You could go for the natural look and just let the grass fill in the notches. Cast some pieces in colored concrete for the notches. Cut some of the pavers in half for edging. Ceder 4x4s cut to match the edge. Bill

I think I would use a circle cutter and make piece as close as possible, same wood and orient the grain, then use a filler and sand to get it nice and smooth.

I'm not an electrician, so this may be not be 100% correct.
The neutral on your service is actually a grounded conductor. I believe if you trace the existing one it will be connected to the ground rod at your service entrance. That's how mine is, at least. The neutral is split off the ground as a seperate conductor inside your main service panel. If you look carefully the neutral bus should ...

The nicest thing about the HF model is that the blades are entirely held by compression, so anything that the will go over the tightening bolt will work. I have used Dremel & Fein Blades with mine, & from just glancing at those th the Rockwell tool, they look like they should work as well.
I checked the last time I was at my local HF last week, & they now have a decent selection of ...

Around here the dimensional lumber at Lowes/HD is SYP. I just got done reading Chris Schwartz's workbench book and he recommends going to Lowes/HD and getting the 2x10s or 2x12s as they are SYP.

I saw them the other night at the Rockville, MD Woodcraft. They were in a

throws me. From what I could tell, the soles aren't corrugated either. I like
corrugated soles. I'm hoping one of the ...
