I love Steam. It works well. I spend most evenings playing Team Fortress 2 I bought MW1 for the single player, so I'll still play MW2 for the single player. I get my MP fix elsewhere!

Variable service came in on the Octavia 1, in 2001 if memory serves. I don't use it myself because it would mean only servicing every other year. With your milage I'd have no reservations about using variable.

Best to pressure test the system to check for any water leaks, also check to see if there is any water in the oil.

i went down the clutch route mate. its good knowin you wont bugger up your clutch and the more torque the better in my eyes. i would be interested to here off someone who has drove both a limeted torque vrs and one with the updated clutch.

When I changed the front brakes on mine, I accidentally bent the ABS sensor rotor, (a disk behind the brake discs with loads of slots in it), at about 5 miles an hour while slowing down, the ABS would have a sh*t fit and the ABS would start.
My first port of call would be can you hear what side the ABS is effecting, mine was noticeable on the side I had bent the rotor, if not, its checking ...

I'm living in Germany at the moment and we have a set of winter and summer wheels. most people drive around with steel wheels with winter tyres during the winter.
Its well worth it, at the moment i'm driving a BMW ( vrs on order) so it is well worth it for me lots more grip in poor weather. i was getting stuck in car parks or sliding around the road before them (during the snow). Winter tyres ...

The tester would have chosen the BMW, because it's more sporty and gives "the ultimate driving pleasure" when driving on roads. The Yeti get's praise for it's practicality and it's off-road abillities. The Yeti wins when it comes to how much it costs as well.

Octavia Long delivery times Ordered a 1.9tdi elegance estate with sunset glass 2 weeks ago. Phoned dealer for update on delivery date. He has been quoted February!! He has been at VAG who have brought the date back a bit, but his story is software problem at factory, and problems with the new bolero radio units. Sounded a bit sus, anyone got any inside info.
