It looked awesome, very and a look that I aim aiming for with my 130. Sticking with 18s is best mate. You just need to decide on the style. Where did you get the wrap from for in trim mate?

DSC / DTC - Confused :-(
Published (2009-11-08 23:16:00)
This has been discussed before - but in short: Normal mode: DSC on Car doesn't let you do anything - applies brakes and/or pulls power as required. Brief press of the DTC button: DTC on Turns of the DSC, but applies DTC mode, which allow some slippage. The idea being to allow you to move in snow for example, where DSC would be too oppressive. Upside is that you can "play" but not much, car will still collect you up...

Anyone know the phone number of the BMW press office. We could give them a ring, tell them we are going to run an article in a national magazine and see what their responce is. Could bring them to their senses, but I doubt it.

If you have bluetooth it can be done for around £120 including coding. If you don't have the MULF2 module (which is the usb/bluetooth hardware) it will cost you around £800.

Evo's 135i
Published (2009-11-07 18:15:00)
i have been following evos review on their long term 135 they have put on the performance alloys and the performance suspension kit to the grand total of 5 grand and it has not made one bit of difference to the lap time they set as a bench mark. but they did comment on it handling better and having better steering feel but for a suspension set that cost 2500 fitted at the dealer i would expect more than a little extra feel and a lower ride...

Toolbag contents?

Looking at the long-winded instructions for how you have to use it (remove swtchgear cover, disconnect motor, insert crank and start winding...) I think if it was an emergency I'd get the other half to lie across the top of the car (having removed all sharp objects of course ) over the open sunroof to stop the rain getting in and ruining my baby [reality_mode] I would probably get punched for even suggesting it! Jeez! My 135 does 26mpg - normal urban driving. How is she driving it, if shes anything like my other half she tends to drive our diesel like a petrol car ~ i.e: plenty of revs!!....

Interested Glynn. I think http://www.palmersport.com/ @ Bedford is a good call. Being an airfield it has big run-offs and nothing to hit (other than other participants!). Would cater for all abilities safely. Very well organised, pricing should be reasonable and its fairly centrally-located geographically. My favourite is Goodwood; that is where 90% of my circuit experience has been gained...

Its about £750 for the 3 series... Then fitting is something like another £1200.. the problem is that if BMW dont fit it, then the warranty isnt worth jack. Matt

Cost me $2200.00 as it was a major work. I'll try and find thedetails in the invoice if I can find it. Hope this help. Ray

blackbmw116 wrote: Started car today and the DTC warning light illuminated and is constant. Believe it or not I am very happy about this as the car has only six months warranty left. It was due to fail at some time as they all do so better now as it will not cost me anything. I will be on the phone in the morning to the dealers, they will pick it up, drop me a loaner and return when repaired....

That's the usual way to do it yes. Some cars need an hour or so for the reset to occur whereas in others if you disconnect the battery and hold down the brake pedal it resets it straight away and others you can do it by pulling a fuse. Others have a sequence of things to do. When I've wanted to do a reset on my E39 I've just left the negative cable detached overnight to be on the safe side.

I would say Go Silver! Black looks superb when it's clean - but it doesnt stay clean for very long. Black also shows up every mark and swirl very easily. Silver stays cleaner for longer and hides imperfections better so I would say that would make the best visual impact. My Wife is awaiting delivery of her Crimson Red Coupe - a colour I'll need to watch when looking after it!

Unfortunately you need to spend some time on the revenue and customs site - and then figure out which category wheels would fit in to. I suspect it would be automotive parts or something like that. http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPort ... e=document

Interesting! But will 330bhp be enough over the 135? I'm sure the handling will be far improved but I would be interested to see how they improve it over the 135 without making it just a harder ride.

I have a 120d Coupe with the gear change advisor. It usually prompts for a change around the 2000 rpm region but does vary a little with driving style. I get around 52ish mpg from mostly motorway but some town driving.
