Is it worth $5,000?
Published (2009-11-07 23:27:00)
The dealer is asking double what it's really worth. The market for large SUV's has evaporated. Very few people want them. But there is a HUGE glut of large SUV's in the used market, form the 1990's and 2000's. This glut has really depressed prices. Also, the mileage on this one is really high. At that mileage, major components are living on borrowed time. That truck, given the age and mileage is worth only $2000....

Input or output speed sensor? a 1" deep socket will get them out most of the time. Sometimes a 1" wrench. They are common in all the chrysler vehicles!

You will not want to install a toggle switch. I hate when people do things like this to their cars. By the time you go through all the trouble for a toggle switch, you might as well trace down the problem. Not to mention you open up a whole new can of worms for problems with a toggle switch up to and including reliability/drivabilty issues, and possibly forgetting to turn it off causing a dead battery and a burned out pump. I'm pretty...

Checking the fuel and air filter is a very good idea. It happens also when you accelerate on neutral? Or only when you're driving?

I'm fairly certain everyone said that they use the DSM hub for aftermarket wheels.

have you tried adjusting the Idle Set Screw on the front of the throttlebody? Wait for it to be warmed up fully before messing with it. Warm curb idle should be 600-800 revs.

The 5.4 is a gas hog and the 5.4 is known for blowing out sparkplugs.Do not rely on the Kelly Blue Book price, way too high and very 100% unaccurate.Even Ford garages will not get inside this engine including the 4.6 and 6.8,will talk the customer into a reman engine

I can't remember how I did it... I think I had to tip it towards the engine and then lift the end closest to the fuse center up first and drag it out at a pretty extreme angle.

Obviously with the above mentioned Focal speaker system I will have no need for the electronic crossovers. However, I would "prefer" to install separates and control them with my own crossovers. Pros and Cons?

Put a 1/2 inch open end wrench between the filter and line, then pry, it will break off the internal tabs. A new lock tab comes with the new filter.

Looks good man. I do believe PnP MS is already out, I could be wrong though. If I where you I wouldn't use it anyways, I bet the price is about double what you could put a working unit together for. I had those injectors running good with just the SFMU so you should be able to dial them in with the SAFC on there also. Be sure to build the Det Cans I told you about. When I started tuning I didn't ...

I do belive your alarm is the problem. I assume you`ve already tried the old disconnecting the battery, waiting 10 minutes, and reconnecting.

interesting... im a nissan man myself. had a 90 silvia with a ca18det. my mate had a 91 honda prelude Si with a engine swap to the vtec, and i gotta say i could never catch him after that. although i feel its unfair to compare the vtec to the ca18(det or otherwise) i still reckon the vtec is an incredible engine so much grunt even factory tuned!
