Actually it doesn't always need to be "shrunk", in many cases you can hammer and dolly the metal enough or drive the metal toward the center to make it stop oil canning.

70 GTO quarter panel advice
Published (2009-11-29 12:56:00)
Since you are replacing the deck filler and tail pannels (which is what I would do) and they are sandwiched in between the quarters, I would replace both quarters as well. You may even have some inner structure issues too, like outer wheel house rot etc

There is no thinking, CLAY BAR. After I used a clay bar it is the first thing I go to. There are some times when thinner is still used, but the clay bar is a magic tool for overspray in my opinion. Brian

Hutchins Eliminator...??

Henry, lately I've gotten into the bad habit of falling asleep early (10:00 pm or so) then waking up around two and wide awake till around 4:00 am. If you can get that Eliminator for 20 bucks I'd snag it, a smokin deal. You could spend an hour on it cleaning it up (fine sanding and polishing the aluminum) and sell it on Ebay for $100 +. I've done that on at least three of them so far and did well with all three.

3M weatherstrip adhesive available in black or yellow. Black is most commonly used.
I'm sure there are a hundred others out there, but have never seen a reason to go looking for an alternative. It works great and for the amount you use at the unit price it's not worth going shopping.

The first thing I would do is to look for a " patch panel" and if that isn't available get a used or after market fender.
Repairing that by shaping new metal and piecing it together will take a lot of labor and may not produce the desired results. We would use the "backing strip method" to attach a patch panel to that fender.

Should be no problem unless you did not activate the previous coat of base. Then you might have lifting of the prior coat of base.
A tip that might prevent a disaster if you did not add activator to your basecoat.
a) Heat the spot in question with a hair dryer so that it's warm, not hot but decidedly warm. ~100F.
b) Mist on a coat of base over the heated area. The idea of the heat is...

The damage on that roof appears to be from the center being driven down and pushing the metal at the edges OUT. This probably didn't stretch the metal and if you work the sides toward the center it will probably stop the oil canning. This is usually done with a hammer and dolly by hammering the metal OFF DOLLY so that you don't stretch the metal but drive it toward the middle of the roof. This...

Paint code (PJR)
My spraying is very limited to basic colors and only panels so I was wondering if this color is difficult to spray for a novice?
I have to do both bumpers and possibly one rear quarter panel on a 03 Caravan and was wondering if there are any special techniques to spraying this particular color? I don't know anything about pearls so any advice would be appreciated....

I got a after market front bumper and it looks like it may need some adjustments done to it. I have never put on a aftermarket part on my car so i would like to know what other people usually do with aftermarket bumpers.
The stock bumper support cant be bolted onto this bumper. I think i may have to get some type of glue and get it to stick with the stock bumper support.
Any advice?

What is it that makes this disagreeable to you? My guess is that most of this money SHOULD have been spent right after Katrina so that many of the now displaced people could have returned.
