Sanity, the size and material used between a Sharp PayTV LNB and these Transmitter Internet types is totaly different. The Sharp is probably 2/3 ds smaller, rounder and made of a plastic compound where the transmitter LNB is in an aluminium case with a large flat area that faces the sun like a solar panel. Although there is ribbing for heat disipation, the case must get hot as the sun passes over as well as the heat from the transmitter...

Intelsat 8 has both Ku and C band signals. You are aiming for the Ku band signals.
Your LNB setting should be 10700 and have it's cable connector pointing at the ground to begin with. Once you have a signal you will turn the lnb (ie adjust it's skew) for best signal reception.
Try having your box set to look at:
Frequency - 12326
Horizontal polarisaton
Symbol Rate - 28800
FEC - 3...

I have been drop shipping 21db yagi's to some pretty remote areas around the country with detailed set up guides, satellite photo's and tower coordinates. It's not uncommon to get 99% signal strength 40-50km from a tower using these antennas.
Most times you can just mount the yagi...

Banned consoles and HDD games Disabling the installation of games to HDDs is very annoying, but it can be overcome if your console is yet to be banned.
If you console is not banned, dump its NAND. The NAND contains a flag which disables HDD installation. Later, if your console gets banned, simply flash the nand with your saved version.
This can be done with any xbox, even ...
