Thanks KB for the link. I checked each of the start up programs and decided that some should be checked. My booting time has improved a little bit. Now it is around 3 minutes more or less. I noticed that some exe files that I checked, appeared again in the processes section ( eg: ctfmon, googletoolbarnotifier ). The program didn't show up on the Add or Remove Programs list so apparently I have deleted them before. I checked the folders and they are both there and have files inside them, mostly setup files for those games. The computer is running fine the CPU usage almost non-existent and doesn't take nearly as long for my OS to load on startup now that McAfee is gone. From what I have seen is the easy fix is to download knoppix for linus that can read the drive for windows and recover what you need.Do a Google search on it and see what I'm seeing. Skelator

Good, since you've removed the questionable software we'll continue. What we'll do in this pass is a couple of things. 1.
