Yeah, I didn't realize he was that age either. I'm a big fan. I have something from him with almost every project. I'm missing some Elf. A lot of stuff I bought back in high school like Blackmore's Rainbow,, Cary Livgren's solo album, Sabbath's Heaven & Hell all on LP. Hope the best for him.

Yes sir. I live in a suburb of St. Louis. Chrysler had 2 plants here. Lots of people where employed there. They took the bail out money, money that came from you and I. Once they got the money they pulled out of St. Louis, out of the USA and are building a plant in Mexico. Is that wrong or what. frenchmon

Dio is 67?! Holy cow. I didn't know that. I wish him well. It sounds like he has quite a fight on his hands.

Hi Kid, you always find the neatest stuff! Another good find. You've inspired me to hit the GW stores by me. I did find a pair of vintage ADC 303 AX, good shape, not a great speaker but ok. They were $30. But it still is fun to look. Anyway, nice find! Again!

no ryan, the plugs would not be considered an upgrade. Infact, alot of cable manufacturers and audio types believe bare wire to be the best. So the plugs are really just another way of doing things. Some higher end speakers only offer an option of plugs, in this case you have no choice unless you change the ports.
If you want to upgrade, consider the actual wire you're using. Get ...

Ok, I'm betting that the speakers will be $600-$1000. I would certainly be interested in them for about $200.

I have had some speaker work done lately. Because of this I have been hanging around a speaker tech. Just yesterday, he was explaining this to me.
I have no "proof" but I would say this guy is qualified to make a call. I also had no idea what this thread was about until reading it just now.
We were discussing speakers and the power required to drive them. He said the bigger the ...

Also where should I get speakers?
If I buy them online then I pay a lot for shipping...
Should I get them used on craigslist? The problem with that is I dont know what is worth buying or not.
Someone here recommend these:

Although, in my opinion, it shouldn't be hard to find something that sounds better than Klipsch, I'd keep what you have and train the toddler or maybe a gate can be fashioned when you aren't around to keep him out. What would keep the child from playing with the other brand of speaker? Putting something on a stand could even be more dangerous. In-wall is so permanent and lacks versatility but ...
