Any other owners of A90's?
Published (2009-11-26 21:15:00)
Well first of all...welcome to the forums. Ok the floor mats and the shifter boot you should be able to find on ebay for relatively cheap. If not there you might find them by googling your make and model and adding floor mats and a bunch of autoparts stores should make them available. To remove the trunk lock you can either take it out when the trunk is up or remove the tailight and do it that way. It is a relatively easy task. The door...

Report: Audi Planning...
Published (2009-11-24 13:15:00)
Audi is reported to be planning a new supercar that would fit in above the R8 in the company's lineup. Based on the same platform as the successor to the Lamborghini Murciélago, the new supercar would be mid-engined and use a version of Audi's aluminum spaceframe chassis, with bits of carbon fiber added in to further reduce weight. Even more exciting is the possibility that this vehicle, both wider and longer than the R8, would use...

No problem... Fingers crossed for ya. These engines are pretty much bullet proof. Running the heater probably didn't do any good since the water wasn't circulating. You would blow a hose before the engine overheated to the point of failure. But having the expansion tank almost empty has me concerned. Good luck to you!

Auto Dimmer Mirrors!
Published (2009-11-26 14:22:00)
Does anyone know if the auto dimmer mirrors could be affected by an MMI update? I picked up my A6 Avant and the mirrors both side an middle worked fine on auto dimmer, putting the green tint over them. I recenlty updated from 1200 to 5750 using audi's original disks, apart from all the other bits the update has killed off I noticed my mirrors now dont have the green tint on them!! They green light is on the rear view mirror and I can...

Yes, this has all been covered on here, you need access to VAG COM to put back the battery meter and instrument cluster. They get removed during the upgrade.

Hi Joe welcome to the forums. As for the 90s...go for it. Control arms can be had at a pretty cheap cost just have to do some researching is all. As for the clutch well the audi's are quite different then the silerado's and honda's as you have quattro AWD now. It is quattro right? Anyway's the clutch job can be very time consuming and can get alittle stressful. But it can be done. The big key is...

How much to fix the central locking? The central locking has just gone on my 99 reg Audi A3. The controller still turns the alarm on or off but the locking fails to work. Even when I use the key in the door it will only lock that door, so its the central locking that's at fault. (I did also try the spare key just to make sure it ...

I've had this issue too recently and Audi and the dealer both try to dodge responsibility for it. The car is a 2003 Allroad, out of warranty. So I have to file a comprehensive insurance claim and sue Audi in small claims for the deductible. Thanks to all ...

Well Barry...that's sounds pretty bad, but I'm going to give you(i hope) the one and only out that you might have...pull codes on the ECU. By pulling codes, you will be able to pin point exactly what is happening. And you will be able to find the problem/problems and fix them. Good Luck. I hope to didn't break the timing belt.

I just tried to check out why my right rear window is no longer connected to the lift mechanism, but I can't get past the interior panels. How do I remove them without damaging them? This seems to be quite a common problem so somebody must know, surely?

Terrific Guide. Thanks for adding. Of course I paid the price by ignoring the "only loosen the back screws" instructions. The screw fell somewhere down behind the power steering reservoir . Still can't find it. Turn signal change was an easy fix. Thanks again....time go buy another bolt. By the way I would add you need a number 30 Torx driver, with an extension to get at the bolts in ...

Whats up guys. My name is Nik and I am new to this forum and a new B7 owner. I want to lower my car and I want to know what are good springs to buy. I am also planning on putting 19s on the car and I am not sure how much I would have to lower it to have the tire right above the fender ( i am assuming a inch and half.) I would like to keep the ride as OEM as possible. I am also wondering if i ...

Steve, Not sure about it locking after x secs when you have left it. It should (by default) lock itself after a minute I think, if you unlock it, but don't open a door. Does that work currently? If you have VAG-COM (or take to dealer), you can enable the remote to do the same function for Windows/sunroof up/down when lcoking/unlocking. It's a code on teh Central Locking to enable the comfort...

Holy **** I'm having the same issue as we speak. I have changed the injectors and it still is doing it. So next I am going to change the fuel regulator. It sounds like when we shut our cars off fuel is still getting into the cylinders. Thus when you go to start it again the fuel pump pressurizes the system as it should, but there is already fuel in the cylinders from when you shut it off the ...
