WTB [SYD] 939 Mainboard
Published (2009-11-25 23:54:00)
Try as I might, I could not find what was going on with this board, so as a last resort.......after I posted this thread, I tried a PCI graphics card. BINGO! The AGP slot is stuffed. So, I'm still in the market for a board but it's not so urgent now. Also, I might be interested in a 939 X2 CPU at the right price too. Thanks

The Mac book pros are really nice but you wont really be playing many games on a 9400M. But it does have the awsome battery life unlike alot of other laptops. For 1.6k you can get a ASUS G71GX ( though it is a little big) http://www.logicalblueone.com.au/store/149-g71gx-rx05.html For 2k you could get yourself a ASUS G60Vx http://www.logicalblueone.com.au/store/200-g60vx-rbbx09.html Or 2.2k would get you somthing with a i7 in it which is the...

24" seems large when you first get it, but you get used to it. I personally think it's the best size (and value). 1920x1200 resolution is nice.

You might get more interest in the 8800gts if you lower your price to something a bit more realistic as most can buy a 4850 brand new for that price. 8800gts have been going from anywhere between 20 to 60 dollars on here in the past, the 320mb ones at the lower end of that.

How about $75 + post to 2614 for the E6600 - keep the cooler, in fact I think someone was after a decent cooler here in the last few days. This offer conditional on the CPU not having spent it's life flogged > 3 GHz.

Maybe the card or drivers expect that you're using a TV. IIRC, the typical range of RGB values that old CRT TVs vs RGB monitors is somewhat different. I'm not sure if there's any such difference when dealing with LCD types but there might be. Can you just boost the Gamma to make them look the same?

No radiation to speak of with LCDs as they do not have a cathode ray tube like CRTs. Size wise I have a 22in (1680x1050) LCD and wish I bought a 24" (well 23.6") for the 1920x1080 resolution. So ye get a 23 to 24" HD capable monitor. One that can do 1920x1080 resolution.

I'm looking at getting a laptop to compliment my desktop computer, I will be using it for school primarily although would like to play the occasional game as well on it. My budget is $2000, screen size should be 12-15 and look half decent. I've been looking at everything from the dell XPS to the macbook pro and am lost. Must haves 3+ Hour Battery Life 2GB Ram 250GB HDD 2+ years warranty....

Talk about your wildly inflated prices for that proceedure. Reasonably common are lips with mild to moderate variation (big or small) but unless the woman has psychological problems and even then unless she had been through therapy first I would ...

While thinking "1shot makes a very good point, junior wages seem to make no sense, I wonder why on earth they brought them in in the first place..." I came up with the following thought... Perhaps it's to keep younger people employed? An employer when given the choice between a 17yo and a 21yo would likely pick the 21yo, junior wages give the younger guy a better chance at getting the job....
