Are the press on her case? I only raised the subject because I would love to see Kelly overcome this one stumbling block. The press in general give her posative coverage dont they?I have never detected anything nasty directed at her anyway. I think she picked up the gauntlett laid down by Denise Lewis and has kept the event in the spotlight. And now we are lucky enough to have Jess as well.

While waiting for your apology for lying BigGut (I have given up on your lying brother fangio), I respond to your 18 Nov posting (4 points). Sorry for the length of all this. For those interested in our infallible British institutions, bear with me. It makes an instructive read. BigGut wrote: 1. Having read several comments above, I'd like to make a couple of points: a) As I've argued in the past several times, nothing is past anyone. b) When six out of the seven disciplines of a heptathlon are of anaerobical/explosive/power nature, it is following that multi-eventers will focus the greatest part of their training on these aspects rather than aerobical training, hence many struggling to produce what would seem average times...

Anthony, You said that certain things were true. I didn't take your word for it, I spoke to somebody else. What is wrong with that? I see that you cannot answer my points so resort to making unfounded and spurious allegations. I have not spoken to them about your case. I have not lied about the original incident. YOU HAVE NO CASE FOR BREACH OF THE DPA, WHEN WILL YOU ADMIT THAT YOU WERE WRONG AND I WAS RIGHT? Never just as you will never...

Also outdoors, New Zealand-based Nikki Hamblin recorded a big PB of 2:03.23 in taking second at the Australian championships in Brisbane, following up fabulously on her recent PB of 4:12.50 over 1500m in Melboure. She looks as though she could figure quite high on the domestic scene in summer. Former Commonwealth champion over 400m hurdles Chris Rawlinson , who looks to reconsider his ...

define half decent... jess is 6m better than kelly's best throw which came about 5 years ago. Jess is still learning the javelin event and will continue to improve. I wouldn't be suprised if she went on to throw 50m+ in the next two seasons. If that's the case kelly will need to throw well in excess of her best and I just can't see that happening

I recently read an article reporting Semenya's former coach as saying Arbeit knew about her being hermaphrodite and suggested medication to reduce her testosterone levels. Of course, this could be untrue and a former jealous coach trying to stir things but when I saw the name Arbeit I felt a little uneasy about this matter. The IAAF handled this really badly but many in South Africa ...

Some worrying comments in that article , Kermit. Dont like the sound of ''tight hamstrings but will keep going for indoor season ''. Stay healthy should be her main priority at this stage and blow the indoor season. Too much too soon scares me, I hope she has a good team around her.
