let's make something clear, WHATEVER you do, ick will remain in your tank. you may boil the tank and all stuff in it, and as soon as you put your fish back, one of your fish will drop one left over-real hardened egg and that egg will restart the whole cycle. i have a HUGE experience with ick, and i am 101% honest with you, temperature treatment sucks. i did it 3 times for over 1 month ...

I've never heard of city water being that low - that's crazy. I suspect the acidity of the water is maybe what's causing your fish issues. It's true that certain types of rock will raise the pH naturally, but I don't know much about it.

Well most of you know that I picked up a 150g tank last weekend, for those of you who didn't know that, I picked up a 150g tank last weekend. Last night on my way to work I picked up 120lbs of Aragamax (sand) for the tank. I'm going to use a mixture of my old sand (about 15% or so) and the new sand. I've also ordered 120lbs of Base Rock to add to the 140lbs of LR I already have. I ...

Part 4 of 4 Any "grow light" used for plants should work. And the brighter, the better. If your screen size is very small, you may be able to use a light on just one side, and a mirror on the other. Now put the pump and tubes in your tank/sump, clip the fan on the bucket, and go! You should start seeing algae in a few days! If you already have a skimmer or refugium or other ...

I agree with Mike...there is a good chance (buying pre-mixed) that the SW you are getting is tainted with NitrAtes.

I would love to bring the tank to you tonight but I'm going to have the 150 in the van. I listed it on CL and in 30 minutes I had 8 emails from people wanting the tank. So I can bring it with me on Friday and either switch it to your car or we can drop it off at your house since we will be out that way. I'll need to leave here before 5pm if we are to meet at BRK so let me know around 4 if ...

Hey all, I have a bit of a problem concerning a package that I sent out this week. Here is the story (please read it and give me your honest opinion). I sold an auction on AquaBid and gave the buyer the total. He overpaid me by $10 so I emailed him and told him that he had overpaid me by $10 and gave him the correct total. Pretty honest thing of me to do right? Well, I ship out this week, 4 ...
