2007 RXV550 Milkshake in Oil Tank
Published (2009-11-19 23:42:00)
I am replacing a milkshake/massive overheat RXV 4.5 engine tomorrow, I have done enough now that it takes less than an hour to get it back in chassis and running again on a good day...that said...I seldom have good days. In the coming week I get to help with 2 more XV 5.5 engines from 08 spec bikes (track only use and brutal at that but, yes, more milkshakes to bring the boys to the yard!)...so no, it is not uncommon.

Too little, too late. The failure of Buell reminds me of the demise of the British bike industry - Triumph, BSA and Norton. The major difference is that Buell never had any of the glory days like the Brits.

I doesn't respond to throttle at all, I mean, I can twist fullthrottle, or just a little bit back and forth, and there's ZERO reaction.
Then after 3-4 seconds, it responds normally, as if nothing has been wrong.

Ditech scooter since the boost in case pressure would also feed the air
injector at an equally boost level keeping some very important paramters
equal. Thanks for the video.

The smaller things would take a long, long time to add up to enough to make a difference. In very rough terms, 10 pounds is about equal to 1 HP. So, you can go from there. I would do it mostly because I wanted to do it. However, weight lost at the wheels is a whole different story and can lead to signficant gains in both acceleration and braking, plus the ability to change directions more quickly...
