Ah, yes.? I guess I should have mentioned that numerous times when I was at my naughtiest growing up my mother put a curse on me, "I hope you have a little girl JUST like you one day!"? I should have known back then what I was in for when I had my own.

RAVE: Chem Dry
Published (2009-12-02 10:56:00)
I just had my carpets cleaned today for the first time in I don't want to say how long and I have to rave about Chem Dry. I decided to use them instead of conventional steam cleaning like Stanley Steemer because they use a non-toxic cleaner and the carpets are dry in one to two hours. Costs a little more, but I think it is totally worth it. Well the men were on time and courteous, had no problems about moving the furniture, did a...

Published (2009-12-02 10:41:00)
This thought ran through my mind last night and I thought it'd be a fun way to remember the highs (and lows) of parenting our PJs. I knew Bella'd be trouble when she first yelled "I gonna tell my Daddy!" a few weeks ago. Now, every single time something doesn't go her way, she'll yell it at me if I do anything close to telling her no. What's funny is that she yells "I gonna tell my...

PJ and Santa
Published (2009-12-03 08:54:00)
We saw him at the mall right before Thanksgiving while visiting MIL. Ruby was dying to go see him and since it was a Tuesday there wasn't anyone there so they were cool about us talking to him even though we didn't want pictures. She was confused when he asked her what she wanted and I said 'we need to make a list first'. He told her to come back with her list and gave her a coloring book. The rest of the trip at the mall,...

Developmental Assessment

I'm glad her appointment went so well and that Giada is developing normally. That's a good tip about books. I'll have to do that with Miranda too. ((HUGS)) I'm sure you must feel very relieved and now you can enjoy Giada developing at her own pace. :)

First weekend away from PJ - rules
Published (2009-11-28 10:54:00)
Finally, Lauren is over the stranger anxiety and we feel pretty good about farming her to grandma and grandpa for a weekend. Next weekend, and my in-laws are coming here to watch Lauren. We've never done an overnight before and we've never left her with anyone else for beyond 5 hours, so I have some protocol questions. Is it appropriate to lay down any ground rules when you leave your child in the care of a family member? I think it...

Monday PJ: CONNOR
Published (2009-12-02 16:41:00)
Rachel, Connor doesn't really have any favorite music per say, but we listen to the They Might Be Giants cd's a lot and Connor also loves the songs from Cars. I think the milestone I am most looking forward to is preschool...not that it is a milestone, but I think it is a big step in both his cognitive development and social skills! I will try and upload some pictures tonight after the kiddos are in bed!

I knew Charlotte would be trouble when… …she arrived a week after my due date (and only after I was induced). …she screamed and cried for hours at a time anytime I left her as an infant. …she wanted no part of any pacifier or lovey. …she began to tattle on her big sister. That said, I actually dont think shes trouble in nearly the way her sister is!

The cute things they say
Published (2009-11-25 11:50:00)
Emma does it quite often and it is really cute.? Emma refers to herself in the third person quite a bit, so last night it was Emma not going to bed, are you changing Emma's diaper?

Seriously? I knew she would be trouble when I saw that glimmer of mischief in her eyes while she was still an infant.
I knew she would be trouble when the VERY DAY she learned how to crawl, she crawled directly to the coffee table, stood up and pulled my lace doily and candle holder off the table. It's been 2 years and I haven't been able to keep any decorations on that table since.

Hmm...I think the wedding thing isnt that big a deal. She was there to have fun too and probably got caught up in the moment, neglecting her "duties," however, the other stuff can be major. The lake thing especially is what caught my attention. We have a pond at our house, which I HATE, but its here to stay. We have gates in the house and alarms on the doors so we know if/when Allie sneaks ...

1.PJ loves the color blue & purple most of all. Please explain! He makes us color with only those 2 colors everytime. 2. PJ's favorite animal is a whale. What does he/she love about it? That is his favorite stuffed animal. An orca whale and he freaks out any time we see any type of whale or orckie as he call is! 3. PJ would eat endless amounts of string cheese if I let him/her, but pasta ...

That is cute! I still think on a daily basis when Emma, unprompted now, will say "I lub you too!" She doesn't realize that she doesn't need to say too when she's saying it first.
Oh, and on the way to the sitter's this morning, all of a sudden the back seat gets very quiet and then I hear "wait for it... wait for it..." I have no idea what we were waiting for, but it was kinda funny.

I know. I had to find them too. Unfortunately no store carries them anymore for those low prices and I don't know if they ever will again. So amazon and ebay have certainly seized the opportunity to capitalize. I got them for my kids for Christmas about a month ago from different sellers on ebay who were offering free shipping. For two of the hamsters, two carry cases/beds, the play center ...

We love roasted asparagus. Heat oven to 400 toss in some olive oil, top with parmesan cheese bake for 10 minutes. If you like you can squeeze on some lemon when you take it out.

I hate to break it to you, but at best, she may agree with you before you go and then completely disregard what you've said once you're gone. I've found that ZERO rules apply to grandparents and apparently unless its a major safety issue, they're going to ignore you :) Case in point...this weekend, my mother fed my 9 month old ( lactose intolerant with reflux) baby a bowl of ice cream. She's ...
