I got the new ice maker today and tested it by shorting the two test points....water came out and all is well....almost.....The plastic catch that guides the water from the black hose is larger on the replacement one than the old one....I was able to bend the black tube and fit it in the new one....the question I have is how do I take the old one off? it appears I have to take the turn rod out.....how is this done or do i forget it. Yep, I think it's good now. The fridge got down to 32F. The compressor and fans stopped running. After I opened the door for a few minutes, the compressor and fans kicked back on. I was kind of worried that the fridge got up to 42F after opening the door, but it went back down to low 30s. $200 is way better than $1000. Next, I'll fix the ice door issue that these refrigerators have. Solenoid replacement, here I come! Thanks for your...

hey Jake- -talked to the store manager... no dice. I was even overly friendly... I thought I had him! Usually I'm pretty good at that kind of stuff. As I've seen in several other posts, there is a 30 day return policy on the parts you recommend so I'd be willing to buy a few things and see what works. Also... I just posted another problem that I'm having with my whirlpool clothes washer. Same goes for that. As I see it,...

Hi Jimmy,
Feel inside your ice maker tray mold, is there ice in all the cube slots?
If so, and it won't dump the ice and make new ice, then your ice maker is bad.
Here's the Complete Ice Maker for your model:

Ok,
On your model you have the check valve thats mounted externally to the pump, very easy to get to without having to take the pump apart.
Now what I find on these models 95% of the time when it won't drain properly it is the check valve, its #15 here:

Hi,
I don't see a 06 error code in the repair manual.
Sounds like your thermal fuse went out, that will make your dryer not come on.
Unplug or turn off the breaker to your dryer before opening it up.
Your thermal fuse is located on the blower wheel housing#59 here:
You would need to take off the lower front access panel under your door, then take off the duct assembly#45.

Hi Shannon,
I've looked everywhere online with no success to what the E61 error means.
You should have a tech. data sheet in the bottom of your washer that should tell you, just take of the lower front access panel below your door, and you should see it on the one of the inside cabinet walls.
Let me know what you find.

Hi,
Are you using the heat boost option in the cycle at all? If you are turn off that heat boost and see if it runs through.
I've been on these models that will run forever if either the heating element or thermostat is bad.
Let me know what you find.

Hi,
Its possibly the motor assembly.
You'll likely need to pull the motor out from the sump and check it.
Here's the repair manual for your model:
