You could always download ChompSMS off the market or Handcent and see if that helps/works. They're alternative text messaging applications and have more features than the default one.

Besides the biggie which is flash, the widgets are better and in this version you have the option of 3 different kernels with bfs and 2 of them gives you 10 more megs of internal memeory and it seems to speed the phone up some.

I think we (AC) should have a competition for the best home made Android dude or dudette. Verification will be needed to prove that you made the Android (Like pics of the steps in making you're Android) Timelapse camera would suffice also! Great Job to the OP!

If you got your hands on a Verizon DROID today, be it the Motorola DROID or the HTC Eris , and love music, than you might have notice that Slacker Radio came to the Android Market. Its supposedly possible on 2.0, which I dont think any Android phone(except the Droid) has yet. You should get an update eventually though.

It depends on how you exit the browser. If you keep hitting the back button until you get back to the home screen then the browser completely closes and you will get your home screen next time you open it. If you exit the browser by hitting thehome button, you are not reallt closing it...only backgrounding it.

ok i bought the vehicle, but now i cant rob the jewelry store even though i have the car and the 2 shotguns. its says i dont have required weapons. any ideas?

you will have to update it manually . from 1.0 its not going to go to 1.5 or 1.6 . im not at my laptop to give you a link to it , maybe you can search for it or someone here would be nice enough to give you a link or two . or you can follow the link in my sig , root your phone and put cyanogenmod on your phone . good luck !

This worked GREAT on the Moment. Is there a way to get the Moment phone dialer installed on the HTC Hero it is much larger and easier to use. My Wife has The Moment and I have the Hero

I agree 100%, N900 is probably my next phone. Android needs to grow up and when it does, maybe I'll check it out again. N900 works on TMo 3G, so I'm seriously circling it.

yea if its jus a modded rom like cyan's , with a hero rom u will NEED a partition for ext 2 (apps 2 sd) and linux swap
but if ur tryin to run apps to sd u will hve to partition ur sd card for apps to sd so realy u should back up ur old sd card , partition the new one , then jus load up everythin on to the fat32 partition of the new one

There's no easy way to control music outside of the music app. On the iPhone you double click the center button to bring up music controls such a pause forward rewind..

i don't know exactly i've only heard a little about the google maps add ons, but from what i have read about the maps application it should be an android wide thing, and not droid exclusive. hope that helps a little.
