Buster, the hate radio show doesn't reach 5 miles past the station, so I don't get it in Greenville. In regards to the who on who was spouting off those legal precedent cases, I would refer you to the article on the AIM in regards to this. You must not be familiar with the divorce forgiveness program, turn in your X and get a free pass. If you do their work for them they greatly appreciate it. All of this could be irrelevant, it could all have been properly reported on tax forms. I believe Jones had employees posting campaign signs which could have cost their jobs.

As usual, I have nothing to contribute to the conversation so I'll just comment that I really enjoyed Rick Driver's "Home Shopping Network-esque" presentation of the report to WAIM's camera. If there was an 800 number on the screen I would have whipped out my credit card instantly. Of course, I am a county employee so I better not do that anymore. At least not for a while anyway.

I believe most posters on this site will disagree with me. But I think this suit by council is a good thing in some ways.
It will settle the question of his contact in a court of law. It shows the pursuit of justice should not be linked to cost. And maybe, just maybe, the Preston era can be closed once and for all (no matter what the outcome).

I don't believe the sheriff or the solicitor have the jurisdiction to investigate anything about council or past or present elected officials.
