You can't make laws retroactive; it's against the law. As for the rest of your post, I think you should perhaps have been born in a country where they would let you be the dictator. If, of course, you kept your mouth shut long enough that they didn't just kill you. Just when I think you can't get any dumber, you go and prove me wrong.

Boy Shell you sure are good at dodging, did you just ignore the first verse there? 1Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. "Things that cause people to sin" this has absolutely nothing to do with corporal punishment.

Why oppose health care reform?

Evelyn, you are not sorry. Your comment is DISGUSTING and it reveals the evil hollowness that is at the center of your being. You have no soul. My brother worked near where his son was. He was 350 miles away from a VA hospital. You are so damned evil, hurtful and hateful. I would hope someone in this world at one time loved you 1/100000th as much as I loved my brother. You are cruel, insensitive and typical of unthinking, uncaring people who...

humble injun >>>Those countries must be doing something right. Why don't we learn from them?>>> The other countries concentrate on teaching the children what they need, in our schools they are indoctrinating them to be good governemtn lemmings. The teachers do not have time to teach the things they need to know. Oddly enough the private school students are far superior, and that includes children...

Shell Rowe, thank you for your enlightened post. It's so hard to witness all these emotionally blind people come here saying spanking been good for them and is good for children and don't recognize that the spanking they received made them emotionally blind. People go through life treating themselves and others the same way they were treated in childhood, unless they wakeup, stop idealizing their childhood and parents. The...

Health Care Bill = Abortion?
Published (2009-11-25 11:17:00)
"I am in favour of national health care AND a public option as long as abortion is not covered by the insurance." Problem is, why should *your* belief system mandate what is covered? Ever see the length of the Male Circumcision Thread? What about THEIR beliefs!? Should the health care bill stop paying for circumcisions because it is against THEIR beliefs?

I am from Germany, where they usualy do not circumcise. Men who are intact have a lot more trouble with rips occuring during certain activities, among other small unpleasentries. If I would have had a son, there is no doubt that I would have had him circumcised. Somewhere they have done a study, that showed a close relationship of women getting a more infections when their partners are not ...

It is for the same reason that people fear any change. Yes, the health care industry in this country is certainly in a sad state, any one with half a brain can see it is headed to even worse territory, and quick. What good does it do to have a service industry that provides a service at such an inflated cost that only a small percentage of the population they serve can actually afford it. ...

I really think it depends on the child, their behavior patterns etc. I'm the type of person who wants to say it isn't ever necessary and it shouldn't be done but.. man I'm not a parent and some kids really are tough to get through too. I think if you don't want to spank you have start with very strong parenting skills from the time of infancy.. and many people do not have the knack and ...

I believe counseling is a natural human activity and that everyone IS a counselor. To take this further, I think counseling knowledge and skills should be made availlable to everyone so that this natural human activity can be more intentional and effective. Imagine the benefit to society if everyone knew how to effectively support their neighbor's pain. What do you think? Aside from the ...

I am not a marauder, but I do think your post is pretty pointless. You should report offenders to Amazon. They do a decent job of banning flamers and trolls.

Break out the aluminum..its time to make hats! Unfortunately, the mainstream often does itself no favors by being elitist and stratifying. It makes people vulnerable to the simplistic and folksy.

Annecdotal testimony is not scientific. There are no controls. No tests of cohorts. Not even any check of veracity. If you take a teaspoon of honey and lose 10 pounds by exercising 45 min a day, it was not the honey that helped your diabetes.

I know that it's either skinny dudes love bigger women, or bigger women love skinny dudes. Maybe you should hit on a really petite girl. 5'4" and 90lbs. Same rule could apply there, it's worth a shot!

Was there resistance to the plan when your government originally proposed it? And if so, how did they convince people it was a good thing?

They can lo-jack me when they pry my cold dead hand open to insert it. You have lost your mind if you think the American public would willingly go along with having an electronic monitoring device injected in them.

Too true, potheads are the bane of society. Worthless bottom feeders that should be burned at the stake. Truly in today's modern society there is no longer a place for the social misfits that find pot accetable. Honestly if you have ever smoked pot, you need to know it is a sin and Jesus is not pleased. There are also studies out that clearly show the relation between pot and beasiality...

you have the fossil fuel advantage. You get there 12 times faster, with the effort of putting your weight on an object. Motorist choice of transportation is disrupting the planet's climate, and leading to major suffering in terms of war. Pedestrians, then bicyclists, then those on public transport, and finally drivers should have priority of way. sorry man, but to shop a bike and ...
