My husband was also a tech junkie who had everything. His Seiko Titanium watch was one of his favourites. He also loved knifes that were interesting in shape with handles that were made of unique woods, boys will be boys! When I battle to find a gift for a person I always sit down and think about the person and what they will be buying themselves shortly and I then buy that something for them. The one thing I must say is that gifts come and...

Have you seen Knock, Knock by Anna-Clara Tidholm, a famous Swedish children's book author? It's a fast-paced bedtime story that takes the child inside a house full of different colored doors with many a furry friend, monkeys, bunnies and sleepy bears to visit on the way to sleepy-time. Great context, variety, colorful painting, easy-to-follow and repeat. See more on this title at: Knock! Knock!

Yes, I have been around the block on this question a few times and have concluded that you give a gift for the recipient's holiday. My Jewish daughter would give yours a Christmas present. Isn't your friend's daughter also a ten-year-old girl? She would surely like anything your daughter would like. Some ideas: a hat and glove set, crazy socks (for some reason very popular when my ...

Don't think of what others are getting him. Does he have a favorite chocolate or snack that you could get an expensive kind of? He'd appreciate that you remembered something personal about him. Have you seen his house, go to a garden shop and get a medium size potted plant, one for the yard that can be kept in the pot or planted. They can dress it up for you.

We had a "gifts for a runner" thread on here awhile ago so I just went back to find the info. I didn't actually look up the products for prices, but at least there are some ideas here. :) "The Garmin Forerunner GPS watch is the best gift for a runner in my opinion. It keeps track of your distance, time, and pace, and you can program interval workouts. I bought one for myself while ...

I hate to see your post title, because it worries me that it may be a cry for help. If that is so, please call the suicide hot line in your area or go the ER and tell them what you are feeling like. Its the weekend so your doctor won't be around, unless ( I hope) he/she has an answering service. If so, give your doctor a call, asap, and let them know how you're feeling. PLEASE! One ...

The Good Houseguest; The Etiquette of staying in someone's home A great gift and some people do find it offensive. It really is great if you stay at her house or her at yours.

My grandfather has alzheimers and he used to really love reading. He isn't able to read novels anymore, but he still likes picking up books and looking at them. Oftentimes we buy him books with lots of pictures- nature, war planes, or something of the like that he can enjoy. This might not be right for your mom, but just try to think of something that perhaps she used to really love and ...

My daughter loves her idog and icat. You can buy accessories, ie. clothes, little carriers, etc. for them, too. They dance, bark and flash light patterns to music with ipods or simply any music that is played through any speaker. Another idea...the book Caddie Woodlawn. It's my daughters fav and earned the Newberry Award. Hv a great Christmas! White-Hasbro i-Cat Robotic Music Loving ...

Hmm... A Candle!! You can get some nice scented candles at the Dollar Tree? But me... I would just call in sick that day and skip the whole deal. Not to be mean about it or anything I just think that gift giving should be optional because ALOT of people can't afford it. Maybe suggest drawing names with the people that want to do it.

Congrats to both of you a little early! 1. If your wife enjoys reading, the Amazon Kindle would be perfect. I own one and my husband and I (who are both college students) love reading books together on it. 2. If you're looking for something not from Amazon, you could try this gift: http://www.messageinabottle.com/ I got one of these for my husband for our first year anniversary. This way ...

Try a uniform shop, they usually have smaller items that can be given as gifts or point you in the right direction. Small, dark colored, quality flashlights that slip into the pants pocket are great. Knives make a good gift but they're more of a personal preference. You could also go funny and buy a lego police cruiser he can put together.

My Dad was constantly cold. So he loved really warm slippers, a throw to put over him when he was sitting in his recliner, wool socks (we don't usually like them in FL). If your neighbor is a woman a pretty scarf or turban for her head since she may lose her hair. I know my dad wore hats more until he just decided he liked being bald. Soups may be ok. Unfortunately, the treatment tends to ...
