Actually, no, I can't have a Twiniki-tini. I can have JUICY-JUICE tho! I'm trying to figure out what to do with all this Two Buck Chuck I've been aging in my wine cellar. I just don't feel the urge to drink since I retired from teaching. lol I'm gonna go sit in my fake leather Lazy Boy Lounger by my fake fire next to my undecorated fake Christmas Tree & work on my cookbooks. It's the only "Food...

The best was when Bourdain was smoking in tibet. The elevation was high enough that there was barely enough oxygen to breath under normal circumstances and there he was lighting up. He does seem to have mellowed just a bit. He seems more fun-snarky then nasty- snarky. The Mexico food looked AWESOME. I still have to give him credit for getting through the warthog rectum in Africa.

I just say things to see if anyone is paying attention to me! It's been a long time since I've had a home made, hand patted flour tortilla. The flour tortilla made with lard is the only way to go. I think the press is used for corn tortillas, I'm not sure.

Howdy, Twinkareenos! It's almost time for din-din but I wanted to chime in for a moment. Hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend so far. Now playing at your local multiplex: Baby the Dog in "Winnie the Pooh and the Problem with Poo". Pooh-Bear has a new neighbor whose dog starts doing its business all over the Hundred Acre Wood. All the forest pals are disgruntled-- Piglet, Owl, Tigger, Rabbit, Eeyore, etc. Soon,...

I know, GW. I figured. The endless postings of "he's from Fall River, MA" send my head spinning. Okay, so you felt compelled, really, to lure me back into the dungeon folds, so to speak, eh? Admit it! I'm with ya on the Dec. 1 thing. Can't bring myself to get that tree up. Only promising thing today that's Christmasy are, well, cocktails!

also put up a No Trespassing sign! then Baby is the neighbor's dog trespassing and call the animal patrol protrection services. bottle of vinegar-water, or bottle of soapy water sprayed in the face and eyes; no damage done but something baby will recognize next time - maybe. Good luck

Isabella: I always at least sauté everything in olive oil or other fat prior to putting into the stew, soup or braising pot. That adds great flavor. SK: This particular stew does not have any added fat. The veggies and chicken, and flavorings added to the brother (fresh ginger, worcestershire sauce, cilantro) pack a maximum punch. The idea of this stew is to basically "poach" everything at a slow simmer.

I don't have any experience cooking for a diabetic, so I thought about what I might do in your shoes. This looks like a website that is topic- specific, and it looks like they have many categories of recipes, including cakes, pies, snacks, and desserts. Good luck! http://www. diabetic-recipes.com/

I'd start by giving my friend Mikie any 3 All-Clad products he wanted. Oh, and a stick blender for Joanie. Although she probably already has one. She has EVERYTHING. I just treated myself to the Kitchen Aid.....the one with all the attachments & boy do I love it! No more pouring soups & sauces into the processor & then back to the stockpot. I don't know about you but I just HATE ...

Yeah, I'm all for slappin' the bass ackwards shades off Guy Fieri....... along with every SEVEN POUND serving of food he shoves into his oversized pie-hole. I've only seen the dives & diners show tho, so maybe he's a GREAT cook.(?)

I love all "good" foods. So, anything fake or full of chemicals usually grosses me out, like the first time I tasted chicken nuggets. [ech] I couldn't believe that people actually ate and liked those greasy, salty calorie bombs. They made my mouth burn from the salt. I ate a half and never looked back. The first time I ever tasted peanut butter I was grossed out! When the hostess left ...

My wife is a traditionalist, but having the same thing year after year for holiday meals is boring to me. I'm always looking to try new things. Consequently, I keep suggesting things and she keeps giving me dirty looks. But, we end up compromising and so I get some new things without upsetting her applecart too much.

Like Water for Chocolate- There's a SAD irony about the DVD version (unlike the old VHS one). They cut out the COOKING scenes. WTF?

In my family (southern La.) we absolutely HAVE to make cornbread when we cook fried chicken (or pork chops) and greens. (collards are my favorite but mustard or turnips are good too). Of course, you could always use your cornbread to make a batch of dressing. I always make too much dressing and freeze some of it to bake as a quick treat for Sunday dinner. My children and grand-children ...
