Boy, Denise has plenty of time and energy to throw around idiotic insults in other threads, but she just can't manage to answer two simple questions about her own statements. You are doing nothing but proving my point, Denise: you have no idea what you're talking about. Wriggle, wriggle, wriggle, Denise. Wriggle, wriggle.

genuine sophistic scum of the lowest order will take a citation, or a quote of a "praise of X", and wear it into the dirt via sophistry to the point that another idiot will conclude that said citational "praise of X" was not only NOT a praise of X, but likely a complete rejection of X in earnest. This is the debasement and vile nature of sophist illusionists & belly locomotes such as who Cane wander...

I think Denise's relationship with TWR is just darling. But he/she may be begining to tick off TWR. I notice recently that TWR has in many instances dropped the "Mr. Wheeler" and now simply has referred to "Wheeler". Breakin' up is hard to do Denise, but we're all with you on this one!

Mr. Wheeler, I'd be happy if you gave us a specific (book, page number) reference for this note by Nakamura, since it would definitely obviate much of this controversy, even though J. Cane still says in one of his four lengthy posts on how to determine what Buddhadatta thinks (or how not to, as the case may be) that he doesn't care what he (Buddhadatta) thinks. It would at the very least suggest that Buddadatta may actually have had...

JimBeau, please let me see if I can rephrase what I think you are saying in this and the next post, and you can tell me if I understand you correctly. You seem to be saying in this first post that there is a self made up of aggregates and that is *not* the self that brings about suffering. In the second post you seem to be saying that there is a permanent self people cling to? "Clinging to such a permanent self?"

Folks, it seems to me this discussion is not what it purports to be. I think it is not a discussion of Buddhist and Vedanta philosophy, but an attempt of one person to aggrandize (is that a word?) themselves. (Checking out Denise's other reviews on Amazon will clarify her personality.) I suggest continued engagement is a waste of time. And no, I won't be checking back to see if anyone comments on my post.

this thread is a great example of a troll (Denise) getting owned severely and then trying to save face by changing the subject, haaaa. btw J. Cane, it's obvious that Denise has mental problems, why waste your time? Surely you would fare better by meditating, studying more dharma, and discussing with people that have potential of waking up sometime soon.

This is near to impossible to comprehend on any level. There is only one God, however you choose to acknowledge him/her. Lighten up and be grateful!

The Scumbag Idiot TOAD Denise Andersen has broken the peace we enjoyed over Christmas with his idiotic Bull**** Posts. Why did I know he would be the first...because he has done it several times in the past. He cannot hold his own gas, and uses this forum to vent it. At heart he is a very sad and lonely excuse for a human being. I have him on Ignore and do not engage him directly. I ...

Apparently Denise has decided to try to wriggle like an eel to avoid answering for her own claims. If I were here, given her track record of doing nothing but reveal her ignorance and dishonesty any time that she is challenged, I'd be tempted to squirm and wriggle, too, though I wouldn't. But then again, I'm an adult who isn't threatened to the core of my being by admitting that there are ...

Brendan states-----------In Buddhism, ALL phenomena are in a state of constant flux driven by surrounding causes and conditions. This utterly rules out the possibility of a permanent abiding atman. It is striking how much Ms. Denise Anderson lets the insults flow against everyone, rather than addressing any of the issues here or in any of the other pending threads. What is she so afraid of? Why is she wriggling so much to get out of her own statements and claims? Really, Denise. What exactly are you so afraid of that you can't address your own claims?

Just out of curiosity, Ms. Anderson, were you ever going to address this? Or do you find it too offensive that I've pointed out your ignorance again?
