> So what can be done? Embrace filsharing, embrace a copying free for all, embrace piracy. Wholeheartedly with open arms. Take that step into the light. Make that your (as a content producer) founding principle. And then come up with a business model built on that foundation. Make a business model that thrives on free copying and piracy. Go with the flow. Harness the power. Honestly, in all seriousness, it's the only way. And the...

@ratkat: Fair point, that's not a bad list. Though it does change week to week. When I last looked (about 2 weeks ago), there were about 12 joke/novelties in the first 25. And I hold my hand up to a little exaggeration - I was trying to provoke discussion. Which seems to have worked 8-)

I still maintain that there's nothing wrong with Symbian, only with the hardware it's been released on. Whether the Symbian Foundation is able to do anything about this remains to be seen...

Review: Skyforce Reloaded
Published (2009-11-18 11:28:00)
When you say super gun, i assume you mean the laser. If yes, your review says you have to tap the bottom right part of the screen. The screen shot shows a 'X' there. Confusing... I must admit though that this is one of the best games I have played on my phones. Although, when I used to play it on my n93, the graphics seemed to be sharper, but some things appear a bit pixelated in your screenshots. Is it because of the lack of the...

My N86 (bought from the Nokia Store last week) looks like it has the updated camera unit. Even though it does look a bit wonky, as suggested above, this doesn't have any effect on the photo taking ability, and to be honest you have got to get pretty close to notice that it's not quite square.

Reboot effectively does free RAM memory space . I think the malfunctioning might be caused by too many applications running at the same time or corrupted software . It doesn't seem to be hardware . Corrupted software generally can be removed by a hard reset . In case of hard reset you will need a backup of all your personal data . Use Nokia PC Suite on your PC/Mac . For reset see my post here :...

Apple is already at 3.1.2. What's the point you wish to make when posting a feature list that's a couple months old already? Everybody with an iPhone already knows. Those without one either knows it too, or they don't care.

Hm, a bit disapointed here,
would have liked to see an e series maemo device: large keyboard, open office ported, good email client, large battery - >2000 mA (in the spirit of the slim e71 with bp-5l battery)

This confuses me...
The N97 Mini, is a cut down version of the N97, how comes the Mini is " award winning" but everyone bemoans the N97?
I have an N97 and always have thought of it as the best phone on the market. Never understood the negativity.

but what are they downloading? i haven't been able to find any real useful content inside the ovi store, on the rare occasion that i can actually login.
at this point, the best apps for symbian seem to be much more easily accessed by just visiting the appropriate website, and downloading a sis file. opera mobile, tweets60, google maps, the occasional nokia beta lab app...

Most people really don't want to spend a lot of time squinting at a 4 inch or less screen. There are only a few apps that people really need. The rest is just there for the sake of it. I've downloaded apps on my phones, then removed them after a few minutes.

Bravo. The prob for Nokia/Apple etc. is that they would be picking winners while at the same time encouraging the ecosystem/community to grow. What might be more feasible could be a selection/filter for for apps recommended by a (semi) independent panel of experts/geeks. Sort of a Music Recommenders but for apps and not just one individual making the recommendation (although even that could work ...

The best and most significant thing about this product:
Its not Java Sh!te with little to no gameplay from C64 days..
Definitely one of the best I have seen on the S60V5 platform by FAR

I'm not sure why, but whenever I listen to these podcasts on various S60 devices, at some random point, they will jump back to the beginning. Listen to it via the webpage though, and all is fine.
It did it with this one to me today at 27m 48s in.
Does this just happen to me?
