hello Darren.
I think I posted this on another thread but....When we do ant oil change we always use a flush first. We use either Wynns or STP which I have never had any problems with, I have used it on all my own Alfas so I know it is OK.

I'm having a nightmare with my DSP. I had Satnav and phone, but no DSP. I bought the full DSP set, speakers, amp and wiring loom. It seems the loom didn't have the phone option, and now my microphone doens't work (the voice is coming through the speakers, but the caller doesn't hear me). On top of this, I have some problems with the passenger side front speaker in the door sometimes doesn't work ...

A remap will give you near 200bhp and a s**t load of extra torque. It is the first mod that I get done on any diesel car. The next step is Q2 limited slip diff and then a performance air induction and finally possibly a new exhaust. For a grand and a half or so you will have one fine GT!!!

That's a high mileage! Couple of points:
1) Make sure the belt/waterpump has been changed (especially on the 16v, although having said that not many 8v versions around anyway). If the belt/tensioner/idler has been changed, and not the waterpump, allow for this to be changed immediately!
2) The radiators seem to suffer corrosion on the 156, including the facelift version. Inspect the ...

I agree with BatAlfa ............ Make sure you drive it and check for any knocks or clangs from the suspension ........... If you can get one thats's had polybushes fitted that's good ............... check the service history particularly cambelt changes (should be 36k or 3 yrs) ............. and if you end up with one.......... make sure you check the oil regularly, they do drink a little...
