You could always swap the whole exhaust for a CF2 item. Although you will need to modify the manifold to accept another O2 sensor.

if you mean is the thickness at that end consistent looks to be the same size to me worth cleaning the rust off though and giving it a coat of paint to smooth out the roughness, it will chew the cventre of the bushes up otherwise

Hi '83Sud - this is a common characteristic of the Alfasud gearbox - the input shaft has a characteristic rattle with the clutch out in neutral. Push the clutch in and the rattle goes away.
This may be because the input shaft passes over the top of the differential assembly, and therefore lacks lubrication at idle (oil is a very good sound insulator), but whatever the reason, it is a "design...

not for everyone though. some of my friends think its weird i come on here, but everyone has the right to an opinion.

about 9 years ago i bought myself an '86 Arna 1.2SL 5-door
my wife was furious, and didn't want to be seen in it, let alone drive it.
i bought it anyway, because i just love the alfaboxers, and in my mind i'd grew a plan to build my own boxercollection and already owning a series2 33, and a sud Ti, so the sprint and the arna were the missing items
so when an arna came up for sale at a...

I have it on my 147 TS. B12 kit is B8 dampers + H&R springs (Bilstein mentiones it in its TUV certificate)
The ride is much better than original. Stiff, but not harsh. No bottoming out. Handling is much improved. Its road oriented suspension, not track. You never forget you are on sports suspension, but 1000km in one day is not a problem. I used it with 15", 16", 17" wheels. On 15" I would ...

That's what I'd have thought mate, when you are talking about a mere 30BHP difference I would have thought it would be driver skill winning any form of 'race', and not the car itself.
Surely a V6 Spider would be slower on paper than a standard GTV, making the difference for YOU between GTV V6 and GTA even more so in the GTV's favour,
