That little 4" mini-tripod allows you to set teh thing on any surface, and to change the angle of attack. And the surface doesn't need to be level. Either that, or make your own with a hardware store bolt and some pipe cleaners. Posts: 1621 | From: Arlington Heights, Il. | Registered: Jul 2002 |

( There is a whole web site dedicated to the making of the Charlie Poole Project and to CP himself. The page that has four excellent cuts from the CD is at Sample cuts from the Charlie Poole Project I highly recommend 'The Deal' and 'Beautiful' to get an idea of the amazing scope of this project. This thing has Grammy written all over it. BTW The rest of the site has video samples of the making of the CD and some great bio...

Sony PCM -D50 recorder
Published (2009-11-29 07:12:00)
( I am impressed with the sound Michael Thames gets in the recordings he has made of his guitars. Here is one he just posted. Obviously part of the good sound is that awesome guitar, but that recorder he uses really captures the sound well. Here's his recent video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzerDjO64s4 Here is a review of the Sony PCM-D50. http://digitalmedia.oreilly.com/2008/01/10/sony-pcm-d50-recorder-review.html Glen ,Resentment...

Wade, My son, Ian, lives in Anchorage, and it was Mike Fleck who he talked to. Since Ian is such a busy guy, he still hasn't arranged to have the guitar fixed. I've asked him to contact our Anchorage friend John Osnes who might be able to help out. In case you don't know him, John is a local violin/cello builder who I expect would be perfectly competent to either fix it or point him in the...

The GK3 (and Ghost Hex and RMC versions) are hex pickups, NOT MIDI. So NO, you cannot connect the GK3 directly to MIDI. Also, the GK3 connector is 13 pins, MIDI is 5. Completely different animals. All the typical "MIDI" guitars ( Fender strat, Godin, Carvin, etc), are really Roland-ready, GK format guitars. There are very few if any actual MIDI guitars available. All of the GK Roland Ready ...

You can rout it to exact depth, if you're careful. If you did go a bit deep, you could shim the inlay with bits of paper. Placing the inlay in position, and checking to see that the top is absolutely level with the finely sanded peghead overlay, then you'd run some thin cyanoacrylate under the inlay to secure it and fill the space. After that, you can fill the voids between the inlay and ...

Wow, they really are expensive. I would like to try them, too. Interesting how low the tension is. By comparison, a from a D'Addario medium tension set \(J45s\): 6= 14.0 5= 15.0 4= 15.6 These La Bella Strings 6= 11.1 5= 11.3 4= 14.4 ,Resentment is a poison you give yourself to get back at another person.

Well nice to hear you got that stereo thing worked out, Chuck. What's with the Illinois State sweatshirt? You from up this way? We all need to learn to be movie directors now, not just good singer/songwriter/musicians. The backdrop looks a little cluttered and the djembe with the top off looks a little funny behind the headstock. I love the guitar rack though. And the solid wall color ...

(I think in the first example you mean 1, b3, 5, b7, 9 if we are creating chords from the major scale) I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I always thought an add9 chord did not have the b7 note, and that a 9th chord included the b7. I'll be interested to hear what others have to say. However, if there is a 3 note in a suspended chord I will eat my capo. I think he needs ...

I will be the first to throw a shovel full of dirt on the grave. Most orchestras are doing pops concerts instead of the classical music their loyal patrons want to hear. The arrangements are often cheesy, and anticlimactic. Rock bands have been reinventing the Beatles unsuccessfully for 40 years now. Those that resort to shock are underground, for good reason: Most of us don't like it. The ...
