I am liking this time period as well. We may be far out, but I am liking the current trends on this. The 12z shows this.
Low pressure over northern atlantic [-NAO] High pressure over greenland [-AO/Greenland Block] Eastern trough and western ridge with HP of 1045mb [+PNA] This time period looks great ATM, will keep watching....

You guys are underestimating next year's El Nino. That El Nino is going to be ballin next year. I expect a Moderate to Strong next winter and possibly for 2010-2011 winter. PS: How am I going to say 2010-2011. It's not like this year where I can say '09. Would I say 010 or 10 or 2010 or 20/10

Front has become stationary across the area..
Current conditions is cloudy and 63 degrees... Nothing but sprinkles late tonight in the NWS MT holly forecast.. Keeping an eye on the current radar and satellite because I am still not 100% convinced that the rain will not make it into parts of NJ & PA..

I'm going to roll the dice and say slightly below average for my area, especially in the beginning and end. The further east you go, the warmer you will get, IMO. I'd say this month has good potential for either an impressive inland storm or good lake effect, or both with best chances at the beginning and end of the month.
