If I were a burn patient I'd want someone to shoot me in the head. That's what makes this treatment incredible. The pain these poor people go through just to die from infection is ghastly.

Wow. This thread is still going? I'd have thought the snarks flying between MG and blakbird that it would have been locked by now.

I thought there were Black people in Britain.
I didn't know that Black characters were a problem in the Britian?
Or is this the case of an over zealous idiot producer trying to think for the entire British population?

I'm going to hate myself in the morning, but I've been working on my novelette that (in part, thanks to Aggy) required some rewrite. I changed the " public service announcement" just for you Aggy.
It's going to have to wait until tomorrow for finishing and posting. Too stupid tired tonight.

Got Kindergarden Cop, Junior, and Twins in the three movie, two disc set for my birthday. Blew my Wip right out the door. We called it Arnold Day. I'd never seen KP before, and always believed that it would be a comedy/farce. Didn't know it was such a drama. Junior is my favorite, I think because of Emma Thompson's performance. I just love the way Danny and Arnold play off each other.

Howdy! Any upstairs rooms free? I need a bath and some company of the female persuasion, not necessarily in that order!
Or just... the first 500 words of any of the Western stories that have been galloping through my head for too long.

I love that people were calling them Gleeks before the series premiere aired.
As for the show, I think it's clever and cute in parts, but it's in danger of becoming tiresome quickly. I think they can stay above that, though.
I do wish they'd iron out some of the vocals... The music is obviously all pre-recorded but I think they can do a better job of making it feel less so.

Depending on context, sure. If your protagonist is a modern person who makes references to such things, and they're relevant to the story, there's no reason why you can't mention them. Quoting from them is a different matter altogether, however.

Pen Names
I'm looking into using a Pen Name. Seeing as I'm a very picky person, what steps would you/have you taken to create a pen name that does you justice? Is there anything to consider?
Many Thanks!

I found it quite a few months ago when I googled for another authors
website. I bookmarked it but never looked at it until recently.
My WIP is getting along now, so I started looking at writers forums to get
feedback on my work. This was by far the most friendly I have found. I
lurked around, got a lot of help from the forums and decided to be polite
and introduce myself.
By the way, Does ...
