i believe it requires a certain d shape tool to do it but you can make your own out of a certain type of bullet shell. I would do some searching for the 2005 carb adjustment tool on here, i know someone has made one to do this. you may be able to get something makeshift to do it too though. steve

I bought a gripper off of e-bay thinking I could do it myself. I ended up taking the seat and cover to a upoulstry shop to put it on for two reasons:
1. The cover I bought was poorly fitted for the seat.
2. the design of the seat makes it hard to not get a wrinkle where it curves up.
If I were you, I'd find some gripper material and take the material to a shop and have ...

well Ive all ways wanted to post a build so here it is got a 05 the other day pretty rough so it should be a pretty good build to post. I'm not goin crazy just building a nice practice bike.

oh yea, i'm at it again haha. tore it down to the frame in a few hours. its bad when you get that good at it. i just took this in case anybody was interested to see how the pipes are routed. i was never able to get a shot like this.

I do believe in this too, we had some good places to ride here out in the woods on BLM but because people didnt take care of anything they started closing the gates and having the sheriff out there to check up. I will admit that, wall I tried to do my part, I didnt always help.

do yourself a favor and stick with the 7.3.
i would give the 6.0 a couple more years until considering one. too many ppl around here havin problems with em, 7.3's are proven tough.
